- Rep. Kevin McCarthy was removed from his position of speaker of the House on Monday after fellow Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz introduced a motion to oust McCarthy from the leadership role. It marks the first time in U.S. history that a House speaker has been removed in such a way. Scott MacFarlane has the latest.

Y'all don't get it: Not all positions in the USA's government are elected, with most of the important ones being decided without necessary backing from the american public. There is no "voting them out" and they are a torn to BOTH REPUBLICANS AND DEMOCRATS.
There is a reason why the USA is, in practical instead of public terms, an oligarchy.

Seriously! Neither party can even balance a budget. Creating a national budget is one of the few tasks explicitly given to Congress in the Constitution. If someone working a real job was that bad at their job, they would have been fired a long time ago.

Well deserved no one deserves funding until we get rid of these multi agenda bills. I'm a veteran I'd of rather sacrificed weeks of pay for the betterment of the country than roll over and have our country die due to bills having multiple Our founding fathers and founding system voted on a piece by piece agenda. There is no reason to bundle things our country does not need under the rug of a system that worked for years. Time to go back to the roots. It will be good for both parties. It is there JOB to vote a each bill and read each bill before voting on it. If they can't filter and prioritize the importance of each bill individually then they are unfit for office. I think the issue was passing bills that kept us spending a lot more than we make (as a county). That being introduced as an omnibus bill. Which to my understanding is a bill with many proposals rather than a single issue.
