My A-level exams are in a month and a bit, and ever since the start of the year i’ve been in this mental rut that i haven’t been able to come out of. It’s been a cycle of knowing i need to do the work, not doing the work because of procrastination, and then waiting for another day to try and do the work. And it’s just a cycle that makes me feel demotivated, useless and just crappy mentally. This video really helped me understand that i am the only one in the way of my potential. There are no excuses, I’m going to start today. Thank you. 🙏
i agree. we are our biggest critics and enemy. learning to accept yourself and treat yourself with grace while pushing yourself and prioritizing the things you NEED to do is my next chapter of growth.
fr, i have a research internship interview, and im really intimidated because I dont know if Im able to investigate the topic effectively. I have no experience, theyre suppose to train you, but I just have imposter syndrome in a way.
need to get in the right headspace for this, I've been trying to be less antisocial and just a harder worker when it comes to all aspects of life. Any tips to help?
Im a 16 year old guy (in highschool), I don’t get bullied at school or anything, I always have people I can sit with and know enough to make small talk but outside of school I dont have any real friends. When I first started high school 4 years ago at a new school I hung out with a high achieving group for about a half a year, however I had a fight with one of the people and left the group. After that I floated around different friend groups but never made real connections with anyone while everyone else bonded stronger. A little over a year ago I decided to rejoin the friend group. However due to the fear of being disagreed with and forced to drift between friend groups I gradually stopped talking in conversations until I eventually became completely quiet. By now its just become normal that during lunch I sit with them silently and in classes I sit with them but barely talk to them. I really want to become friends but no matter what I do, I can’t seem to force myself to speak, let alone become friends with them. I really want to get added on social media and go out to places with them. Problems I have when i try to talk are: - Since its been so long it feels odd to out of nowhere start talking again/they aren’t expecting me to talk to them - They all know eachother way better than I do so why would they want to talk to me when they can talk to a closer friend - I can rarely think of anything interesting or meaningful to say What should I do?
Get out of your own head you can’t control how they’ll react but you’re stuck in a vicious cycle of you not speaking so they expect you to not and think to themselves well he doesn’t add anything to the convo. Just start talking about ur weekend and ask them ab themselves
Agreed. Undeserved relaxation aka procrastination doesn't feel right. Feels bad actually!
So true
This is like therapy ngl
