7:48 - I Can't believe I'm feeling nostalgia over that sound haha, the gotway startup sound a classic!
Max is too high. Good for you US boys. Great in a straight line, unwieldy, difficult to turn in a small space. Only fast
Hydraulic suspension means it has hydraulic damping. It does have a coil spring inside.
36:54 Marty: "Maybe it needed a couple more capacitors."
- It sure does!
This was like a mini series episode. Really enjoyed it. Thank you guys for the content. Cheers from Northern NJ.
Ayo Central NJ here!
Thanks Marty n Roger!! Oh and Knight Riders!!🙏
Cool video as aways. Waiting for the vertict :)
You make good videos. I always enjoy. Very informative and fun.
Thanks Tim!
"Give it to new york guys first" hahahaha This made me lol
That Nikola sound is a cheap generic Bluetooth startup noise that you find on numerous cheap speakers, even my daughter’s bed plays that sound (it has led lights and Bluetooth speaker).
Thank you for the video, much appreciated.
Ohhh, so you did get a chance to try it after all!! 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿
Marty and the gang! Great video.
I wanted to like this wheel so bad.
Quality control is a curse for BG/EB.
Lol the starting sound of the Nikola, too funny. By the way Nikola Plus is/was an great wheel. May be it's a good sign for this CP GT Pro 😊
I been waiting on the GT Pro.
Everyone forgot about this wheel once ET Max was announced.
Personally I like the GT Pro better
You can’t go wrong with either to be honest. The GT is a formidable beast.
@@RocAByewell this one has c38 motor and not C40. Let's see how it turns
@@alexandrestimaridis7881 the wheel rides nice. There was no learning curve. It felt natural
It's a disappointment to see the family jewels crusher flopped on day 1 of testing. I was looking forward to this wheel.
Another convincing video to get a Lynx 🤣👍
Good video Marty..for thge lift spoiler it make sense to access the charge port and usb
Yes, but a "lift spoiler" is ridiculous on an EUC :-)
@ElectricUnicycle Agreed instead they can focus more on a working euc. can't wait for youre indept invstigation.
tbh i think they should have just made the cp50s a 168 volt wheel and never made this one. the form factor of the cp50s is perfect and what they did here is definitely not perfect
Great video buddy! What workstand do you use?
Workmate
I also had a hall sensor issue on my commander pro, but it was after I rode it in light rain so not blaming anyone but myself. These things freak me out when they don't work properly. So much power and energy in them
No PEV should ever not be able to stand a tiny bit of rain here and there in my opinion. It’s actually not difficult to make PEVs water resistant, I’ve made modifications to a couple wheels to make them able to withstand riding in the rain for extended periods. I use thermally conductive silicone potting compound to coat circuit boards then seal any connectors and battery cases. These motors are pretty water resistant by design but some extra grease can be used to protect the bearings. If I ever have to open the motor up I will often go over the outside of the coil windings with a bit of wire varnish and follow with some thermal potting compound in some places like around the hall sensors.
It rains ALOT here in the tropical rainforest where I live and I’ve ridden miles in POURING rain many times with my trusty ol’ KS S18 that I rebuilt and modified and I’ve never had any issues yet!
Hopefully you got your Commander Pro fixed, that’s a real shame you had issues with it already, it hasn’t even been for sale for very long! I definitely would not consider that your fault for riding it in a light rain! It’s meant to be ridden outdoors, where rain happens sometimes!
After watching to the end of this video, seems even more likely that your hall sensor issue was absolutely no fault of your own!
V14 flashbacks
are the sharp edges the same on the commander pro 50s ?
My Commander Pro does not
Great wheel ❤
Could you share a link to your nice charger ?
Search my channel for "charger"
Noise right at end of Roger's run sounds like rubbing against tire noise. Brake pad cross piece or mudguard caught tire and folded back under? At 34:35 neither is visable.
There is no brake pad and the mudguard is stiff metal. It's not a tire rubbing issue.
Rear lights red only, no indicating while carving in my opinion.
Rear light red.
Not blue not green not colors.
Red.
yip I can duck tape over colors and buy a red light.
Is the rear spoiler a bit scary sharp. Would I buy this wheel?
Of course.
That wheel is thicc.
22:49 walked right into that one 😂
Extreme bull is a meme.
Big Heavy Wheels - Open the bottom of the box , right the box, then lift the box off the wheel.
Yeah, I know the drill but I go my own way :-)
This tire is impressiv, it would be cool to have this kind of tire on other wheels
Now that we have been riding this wheel for awhile we've learned that the tire is actually horrible for EUC's
I kinda like it but the Max def wins the beauty contest. Maxxis makes good tires so there’s that. U sure r getting a lot of great wheels u lucky guy.
Yes, it supports field weakening, race mode, etc.
I sure that commander gt (not gt pro) will be most balanced all around euc and it's almost twice cheaper.
Is that a wing for air . To make it stable. Like on cars
In their dreams :-)
It’s a retractable handle for carrying the wheel with both hands.
At 50kg, the ET Max is unlikely to be anything other than a road wheel, and potentially somewhat a victim of its own ‘stature’. Just about to watch you attempt to lift the CGT Pro out of the box! 😊
🔥
12:24
Oh Marty 😊
LOL
Dang was looking forward to seeing Roger break the sound barrier. Got the sound but no barriers 😅
Why didn’t anyone think about driving the truck to the EUC?
Only had to walk a few blocks
I don’t have that startup sound on my nikola 🤔
However, I do have that exact sound on a small Bluetooth audio device I keep in my car.
I suspect it’s built into a commonly-sourced BT chip.
When something connects, it beeps one more time at the end (major 7th note)
It started making the weird noise right before the beeps began.
Can we see it next to the mini id love to get one and have the whole family
You obviously didn't watch the video - LOL
I was at work and only made it through the unboxing.. until now when I'm at home! :o
I can put those gt pro handles on my mini? I'm assuming the floppy thing on the back is just to allow you to access the handle better but it is kinda weird
@@ElectricUnicycles new top speed on the way in to work tonight thou 49.3mph :o
where is the news about ex30 ugrade?...separate video?
That'll be in the GT Pro repair video :-)
These things freak me out nowadays. Experienced a few "hiccups" lately and it really has stolen my confidence in these things. Come on Commander series, you were looking so good there fore a while! :(
Alienrides get it with the C40 motor 🤔
Another heavy one? Not for my riding style and size.
where can I buy Knight rider shirt?its looking very cool!👍
You have to be a Knight Rider :-)
seriously, first ride and this??? what a dinosaur dung at gold price... we just need to teach two letters to Begode : Q & A
To be a little fair to Begode, this wheel is manufactured by Extreme Bull. Begode quality is measurably better.
I secretly like the gt pro more than the et max...something about its ugliness and big thick tire. Come on extreme bull get it together
Well that’s unfortunate
So roger broke the wheel😢... 100\90... That is a weird tyre
It’s a step in the right direction, these new wider rims distort the profiles of an 80/90 tire. They need 90mm or 100mm tires. It’s great that Gotway has realized this.
Begode did 🤣
Getting bore with the steel squarely battery box. May be trying to reduce weight by carbon fiber frame /battery box with a more ergonomic shape that promote dynamic and control. There is no real improvement in technology by getting bigger and heavier. The engineer actually sleeping on the job.
Until the battery cells that make it go get smaller and safer and made in different shapes I wouldn’t hold my breath expecting them to be anything but big metal rectangles.
Might just be me... but leaperkim been slackin, lately. Manufacturers need to slow down... perfect what they already have. The competition with these wheels is too intense
The GT Pro is not exactly shining here is it!
First! 😄
Sketch it out, helmet much dood.
End dip twitcher the reason seen.
Close again, Ssszzing.
Dam this thing flatter and taller than the great wall of china 😂 sorry to ugly to buy
Second :D
Anyone wanna donate a wheel I lost my Nikola 100v and everything I owned due to a battery fire and oh God I miss riding so much..
I love your content I always look to see what's new and you Marty, wrong way, Mike and the Asian guy from Brooklyn is where I go thanks.hsiang that's his channel.. the best ride I had was riding from the Bronx to Coney Island and back.. on a single charge.
@@Headhunterhermanit was on charge by night ???
@@apokalypso2163 no it wasn't charging I rode it that day went home and about 12am heard some rumbling and pop then fire shot out of it like a torch..
I like the EUC trend.
Every 1st batch wheel brand independent is a struggle.
