Yes, I find him to be number one in my books. He's the most musical of all the MCs. The syncopation, every little lilt in his voice. The pitches that he chooses on certain syllables, he's completely unmatched. I find jazz and classical musicians pick up on the brilliant subtleties in his delivery that go unnoticed by the general public.
Exactly what I'm always telling the younger generation. In order to appreciate the genius of late 80s and early 90s hip-hop, you've got to have some jazz education in your spirit
