    Thank you for making this series. Your opening animation sets the tone of Lost & Found so well. I watch it every time. I hope you will consider putting the whole series up as one continuous video once you’re done.

    Love the still images! You never really leave Alaska even when you come back to the lower 48! We built a log cabin on Chena Ridge outside of College in 1974. We went back in 2015 and found it in great shape, but the ridge is now covered with lots of houses, some of them very big. Thanks for bringing back some great memories of the beauty that only Alaska can give!

      Well now you are bringing tears to my eyes. My objective has always been to inspire more people to fall in love with the outdoors and I found the easiest way to do that is through our journey and showing what we get out of these experiences. I’m so glad that I’m starting to hit my mark 🥰

      @@BoundForNowhere You're doing it!!! And I want to thank you for inspiring me to listen to my heart. I found you 2 years ago when preparing to hike the JMT. Sadly the pandemic cancelled this hike. The feeling of disappointment at the time was huge, but it actually lead my husband and I to bigger plans. We've spent the past 2 years preparing for a move from NH to UT. We gave away most of our belongings, sold our beloved home after 20+ years, quit our jobs and will be heading out for a 3 month cross country climbing/hiking trip in 5 weeks. We are leaving a great little town, lots of friends and a wonderful life- and trading it for unknown adventure and a deeper connection to our country's amazing beauty. I will turn 50 this summer and my husband will turn 60! Our life is speeding along and we felt compelled to stop and ask ourselves if we are living by our priorities. Your shared experiences are a great source of inspiration and valuable resources as we prepare for whatever is next. I am deeply grateful to both of you.

About 11 or 12 min in, I was balling out of Pure Gratitude for your work, the beauty, the vastness of the land, the purity, etc, etc, etc . Not emotionally unstable, etc. but I cried pretty Hard as at our chore/essence we're all the same including all of Nature, the Universe and beyond. Even though I've never been and would Love to go one day, it's as if I'm with you guys there as well and I am deeply Grateful for your dedication to your craft as it is some of the most beautiful and breathtaking videos and images I have ever seen and I would imagine its the same for most. I am genuinely inspired by your Video's, hope you do them for many years to come and that in some way big or small, spending all this time in so many Natural wonders has made you both more in tune with your spiritual side. :). I wish you could see just how Big my smile is right now. You should be and I hope you are both deeply fulfilled with what you are creating and sharing with your audience. Love the video, I spend a lot of time in Hatchers Pass, winter and summer. Its great seeing it through another’s eyes and the drone footage is a different perspective. Awesome. We have many videos in Hatchers, so incredibly enchanting!

    Katmai national Park is the best! I went there with a bunch of cannery workers at the end of a season, and the crazy as bush pilot let us climb out on the pontoons when we landed on the lake

    There's a 3 mile sledding hill up there. When I was a kid my dad would drive us to the top and pick us up at the bottom. Lots of good memories at Hatchers pass and Archangel valley. Used to be a nice restaurant up there called the Motherlode.

    Awesome job you guys! You are doing a fantastic job of showcasing how beautiful Alaska is. The drone footage and videography is exceptional! Wiley and I have a seasonal business that is only open in the summer time and it is giving us serious fomo on how we are going to ever see Alaska.

    Glad to see the adventure continues! I definitely very much feel like I’m there with you guys during your stories. You both have incredible talent.
    So glad you had a great experience in Hatcher Pass. Such a special place 💜 Also excited you hiked Reed Lakes!
    Hatchers is just as lively in the winter time too. The state opens up some trails for snowmaching. Experienced backcountry skiers carve beautiful lines down all the mountains. There’s also a nice road run set up for the less experienced (also mostly snowboarders) where someone can drop you at the top, and pick you up at the bottom. You’ll see truck beds full of people hitching rides and getting toted back up the mountain. It’s quite the playground year round.

      Right before your drone crashed, I was thinking, I’m pretty sure we’re about to run into the mountain 😂😂 glad the drone came out okay.

    reed lakes is a great hike. if you keep going passed the upper lake eventually you get to the bomber glaicer. which is pretty neat. should have checked out the gold mint trail another great one.

    Amazing video. Taking a trip to Alaska in August and am thinking of doing the Reed Lakes trail. I am curious though how long do you think it took you to reach the end (Upper Reed Lake)? Also what month was this in? Thank you.

    My wife and I used to live up there and Hatcher Pass was one of our favorites. Wish you would’ve made it over that pass! The Bomber Traverse is truly awesome; summer or winter
    Out of curiosity, what did you use for your topo map animation ?

    • @BoundForNowhere
      @BoundForNowhere  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I know that was another thing we were trying to get to. It was so late and so very socked in. And no one knew we were there so we figured not risk it ;) For the topo map animation, Owen has made those by pulling real maps, stitching them together, then animating on top of them in after effects.
