Also the trailer maintenance department are slow and lazy last week I slept in a ta shop because they took 7 hrs to approve replacing the breaks and drums which made it impossible to pick up my next load
Since you are mechanically inclined, I would just take one of those Little Giant collapsable alum ladders that would get you to the upper marker lights in case you have to replace a bulb or splice a wire and continue on your way and not have to deal with the Idiots that think all drivers are like them. Its aggravating, but much better then kissing an agents butt and still not get results.
@@NoLuckTrucking I Bought one for just that purpose(smaller version that was 12 foot) and it folds very small(I could keep it behind my cab with full fairing) It admittably was an extra pain, but I haul HazMat just in time delivery with no excuses for waiting to get air leaks or lights, etc, so you know the drill. I just adapted. We love your channel, so professional. Bill
@@nfm1984 What they dont know will not hurt them. If you rather sit for 5 hours waiting on so called mechanic to tighten a couple nuts, you will never make it in the trucking world
If they want to end my contract because I saved them a $250 road call and saved my time, then I welcome them to do so and I’ll find a new place for our truck
According to the locals It`s pronounced LOUVILLE .. Even though it is spelled LOUISVILLE ... I know what your thinking but i have spent time down there for a few years and was promptly corrected by the good folks there ...
I cringed when he said it, I grew up around there and non native kentuckians never say it correctly. Yet everyone loses their minds that they can't pronounce it and it's supposed to be our problem.
Just hope they keep your lanes they lost most of the lanes i ran

I would have Landstar charge the driver that dropped the trailer pay for any delay.
How would you go about that?

I don’t think we have anywhere to store a folding ladder on our truck

Hello from Stoneboro, Pa. Still here!!!
How does the agent know if it’s broken?
The driver that dropped it told them after he dropped it and hooked to an empty.
Any self respecting driver should be able to fix those small things but a lot of drivers are to lazy or do not want to get their hands dirty
some companies prohibit you from fixing anything for liability reasons.
