This was so interesting, it is appreciated! Such a lovely part of the World, and it is an excellent idea to plan a holiday/distillery tour. 🥃 P.s. One of my first whiskys was a Glendronach 12. And my first (and eye-opening) experience of a "sherry bomb"
Yes indeed mate the scenery is beautiful in that area with farmland for miles. Yes funny enough I also started with the 12 year old when I first started getting into sherry forward whisky and definitely opened my eyes to other expressions. The handfill I got this time is a lot better than the one I got in 2019. Far less alcohol presence on the nose and more smooth on the palate. Just needs a bit more time in the bottle and I think it will become a very fine dram.
