Are you still using this Skil 40v mower now (April 2024)? How is the origional battery, is this still working strong? Do you recommend? I want to buy one of these battery mowers, which brands and models (18v, 40v, 60v) do you recommend? Thanks
So weird everyone haves nothing but good things to say about this mower. I will say it is a great mower small compact gets the job done my only problem is just yesterday I was cutting the grass and it kept cutting out and it wasn’t because of the height of the grass because it was plowing through all of my grass and I had it on the highest setting my grass wasn’t that long and thick . I thought maybe the Battery was almost ready for charge so I charged it all night woke up this morning to finish and I’m still having the same problem it keeps cutting out
Still rocking the craftsman v60. deal ya found. This thing looks kind of cool, makes me wonder if Tesla will ever get into this type of equipment? Cybermower!. Still waiting on Milwaukee!
Love mine. This mower is made by EGO. Cross reference the part numbers. Somebody must have sh*t in his Cornflakes. I put this mower through hell no problems.
How long does it take to charge a dead battery vs. the time it takes on a Hart? Also, what about something that shows how much battery life is left vs. the Hart? Any gauge on the Skill or Hart??

This is will be my third summer with this lawn mower. It's a light-duty machine and cuts the grass well. I have a third of an acre and how long the battery lasts depends on how much grass you take off the top. If you like to mulch or chop off 2 or 3 inches at a time get a gas mower. I mow two or three times a week taking off a half to three quarters of an inch and I usually get it done on one charge. My only gripe is the dead man handle spring broke.

Hart is now $267 and Skil is now $299, I would go Skil for the bagging. You can lay cardboard down to avoid scratches.

Got rid of my ego and got this instead. Way better cut quality and can do my 10k sqft lawn on one charge

Its a real weak mower if mulching.. if grass is tall better off using bag or cutting at highest level .. one if worst mowers ive ever tested
this this is junk! it has no torque to cut 4" grass, and the battery wont last 1/4 acre. stay away!

Actually it cut my 6 inch grass I perfectly and the battery lasted almost a half acre
