I’ve read the book you two wrote about your year as camp-managers! So this part of this wonderful series is great to watch! Very much like I imagined it!
Torn Trousers must be one of the best books of its genre. Highly recommend it for those of you who haven’t read it already!

It's such a beautiful place and very neat to see you meet up with an old friend.

Thanks for the tour of southern Africa. I haven't seen any other TH-cam videos that combine great camera work with the narrative of such a talented host.

I just arrived home from an 1100+ mile drive and listened to Torn Trousers the entire way. So great to get home and watch this video to see the resort and Robert. Perfect timing.

I am loving all of Your videos, but this one was something. Thank You for sharing all these histories.
My father had a similar story with a medical condition in Africa. He was forced by the old, fascist regime in Portugal to go to the colonial war in Mozambique. One of the times he got a worse malaria "surge", could have been the last. He had no reactions for days nor eaten anything or spoken any words. But he was good to the locals and tried to supply them with petrol for their lamps in their homes and other goods, so the locals were good to him.
One old "healer" which would not tell his secrets to anyone, only said that everywhere where the disease was, the cure also was. He asked if he could visit and try to cure my father and so he did, the next night my father vomited some of the herbs he gave him and sweated a lot, the next morning he was walking and eating all by himself.
The whole world has so much to learn from these ancient and natural ways.

I loved the video. The reason is that I had read the book Torn Trousers... I know recommend it to all of my over-landing friends. I read it one week at the beach and in my mind I had to picture the scenes. This video almost matches what I imagined. It is now one of my all time favorites and is on all of my readers when I think i might have a few minutes to dive into something to read.
please go back and take more video ...
