Such great video, fantastic coloring! I absolutely love the different mediums on each picture (thanks alot) now there's watercolor pencils, metallic stuff, STENCILS! You have so many perfect pictures. I am encouraged to trudge along, definitely improving with shading and highlights even promising my well behaved self to please help me stick to this layering, the "Lueve" (the Paris place) can wait. Anyhow I can't believe the Dragonfly was SKIPPED! That's my brain freeze. The good part is I found your stuff and (yay Prismacolor) now I am still on my way to the Guinness Book of records with subscriptions. Yours is a great one so better save this video. Great job! Especially on the gargoyle page, love that. This is my fave JB book too, tied with Lost Ocean. But my copy of Lost Ocean has sooo much bleed through 😢 I think I got the thin paper edition or something.
Hi Mary !! Oh yes i have the same problem with my Lost Ocean !! Its the first copy that came out and the paper is to great at all, i also get lots of bleed through with markers and many other mediums. I have since then found a later copy of lost ocean at a used book store for like 5 bucks so i got it and it has much better paper than what we have. Only problem is that i already did many pages in my first copy so i dont want to abandon it, i fixed a few pages with satin glazing liquid and it helps a lot to use water soluble mediums ! Im actually already filmed a video showing all my lost ocean completed pages so hopefully it will air in December or January , not sure ! Anyway happy coloring dear ! @coloredbymaia6476 satin glazing liquid you say? I'm going to have to look into that! I've been advised to use clear gesso on the pages first but people also say that it's hard on your marker & pencils tips.
