When most people think of Chinese bike manufacturing, they think of mass production. China is also home to small scale factories that take pride in the craft of making frames. Today, we take you for a sneak peak inside a Titanium Bike Factory in Beijing that has been hand making frames for 20 years.

A bit over 20 years ago I bought a really well-made Ti frame from a US-based importer of Ti frames made in China by a former aerospace company, so this may well be that company, although my frame has a slightly different design so perhaps it was another company. I built up a road bike from it and have found its quality to be superb. I'm not a super-intense cyclist so it more than meets my needs.

I had a USA "brand" Airborne chinese made Ti frame that I got used. Both quality and ride quality of the bike were top notch.

Titanium is best material for frames but low quality can be heavier than german chromoly steel bicycle

Yeah! Please don't buy a frame here. I'm sure the frame cracks.
Blue welds are a nightmare of every framebuilder. 1 thing i know about welding.
