I went to local today with this leader, 3 - 1, not bad i like it also first day playing one piece i didn't know +1 cost or +2 cost was so strong against some decks xD
I just picked up this deck (noob) and I’m a little confused. I thought each starter pack had exactly the same cards so I only picked up 1 box because I thought I would be wasting money buying 2-3
Each starter deck does have the same cards but some cards in the deck come as a 2 of, you need to get a 2nd starter deck to have 4 copies of the card to build something like the deck in the video. Its usually the better cards that come as a 2 of

I guess I could focus on any” black” focused packs to add on to this one right? I’ll get another one tomorrow and play your deck build at my local shop next Thursday.
What other cards would you replace in the deck for better (budget) options? Like in an inbetween between this video and the optimized deck in your other video?
bro how did you win matches with this. Probably cuz im new, but Ive been on the sim for hours and can't seem to get close to a win. Can't get anything to stick while they have a full board. any tips for a OPTCG noob playing this as their first deck???
First up this deck is not a super competitive deck so it can have a hard time sometimes. But a lot of it has to do with knowing your match ups. Going against black decks I will only play out characters if I can protect them with a sabo or cost increasing and the same going into Enel. Blue decks will have more removal mid/late game so I’ll make sure I have my cost increasing cards for then. Going against other decks I will play out cards but won’t attack with them until I have all my combo cards in play or have a way to protect them (blockers or lots of counter in hand) If you join our discord I’ll be happy to answer more questions if you have them but practice will be the key with this one. This deck does get better with the support in the next set
The cost increase is always there but the draw one part of the effect will only happen on play. If you have another copy and play it out you will get another draw. It will replace the current thousand sunny you have so the cost increase does not stack

I have one 8 drop moria on hand, do I put him in ? What small changes would you make but still making this a strawhat package?

I would guess you just swap out same costed cards, or swap out card type for card type.
Removal for removal, bodies for bodies, etc.

i desperately wanna play this lead so this list makes it more viable for me seeing as i don’t own any core black staples like sabo or moria 🥲
Thats why we like to do these videos, opens up options for people who are new/on a budget to get into the game or into a new color
