as a UE alumni thank you for uploading this. Grabe ang layo ng kalibre ng players then vs now, I dunno if it's just a new era / style of play or not. The things i would do to have this kind of team again. Ironcoach/coach chongson was the last great coach we had, sucks UE school officials/management did him dirty the first time around. Marami man antics and shit pero dude was a great coach can recruit/assemble a team with the best of them and then develop players. RIP Ironcoach & Bong Tan
Style of play definitely is a factor but more than that, it's probably the lack of continuity that lowers the overall quality of players and teams. Much like the US NCAA where it has become very easy for star players to leave early or transfer teams, the local college leagues are experiencing similar issues. Same din doon, the explosive matchups of the 80s and 90s in college where talent ripe seniors slug it out in conference play and in the NCAA are long gone. Hopefully though, this evolution will have its good points soon in terms of getting more players exposure and playing time that would not have been there if stars dominated.
