  • I was making a video of unloading and loading my kiln. Well my camera decided that I didn't need to film the loading part of this video. I sure hope I figure this out soon for y'alls sake. For the record I'm starting to get ill with myself.

Did indeed appreciate that tour of the kiln unloading. tks
Takes a lot of work to make a good video, and you are doing real well getting it done.

It's obvious you've done that a time or three, just pull up and scoop without jockeying around. I'm a fan of telehandlers for moving things in tight places. Have a great day.

Yessir, I see where above commenter ask about the weight. And it is a lot of difference at the end of the drying cycle , as to when they are cut and banded. Most wouldn’t believe the weight of the moisture that wood holds. I got a question if you don’t mind and have time to answer. I have a John deere Tractor just a little smaller than your cab tractor that I use at my mill for many years. 70 hp front end loader. I basically it does the full load of lifting and transport for me. I see how fast your lull gets around. looks comfortable. Telescopic reach is nice. Skid steer can turn on a dime it has advantages around your mill. I plan on getting one or the other very soon snd purchase the one I don’t get only when I have the money on the hip. Financing anything for me is defeating My purpose. If you could have only one, which would you choose? Preciate your time AC

I've been asked this several times. If I could only have one it would be my 420DIT backhoe. It has quick coupler and a thumb.

The backhoe is a Cat. Where it goes from forks to bucket with out leaving the seat is nice. With the thumb on the hoe you can park beside a log truck. Put the outriggers all the way down and unload a truck almost as fast as a knuckle boom loader. Most of my loaders won't clear the bolster of log trailer.

Great video! Would love to see some videos of finishing those slabs. How much do you think each of those stacks weigh?

These aren't that heavy due to only being 8 and 10 ft. long. Plus they are dried. Probably around 4-5000 pounds.

Thanks for your explanation, can't wait for a sharpening & setting tour, keep up the great videos.
Are all your bands the same tooth spacing?
