Can’t agree more. “Whoever holds this hammer, if they be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor.” It isn’t original to the Prose Edda, but I knew the devs couldn’t deny the power of the newer myths about Thor forever. That hammer was meant to be wielded by a protector.

@@megabladechronicles962 I know, I’m just saying that the word is originally coined by Marvel. Nobody, not even Ancient Nordic people, ever say “Asgardian” only Aesir.

Maybe we’ll see more of it in a third Norse game. Now I know people keep saying that the producers said that this is the last in the Norse saga, but come on, does this feel like a conclusion? I mean, if anything, they should make a third game as a wrap up by having Kratos kill off the rest of the remaining gods like the Nords, the giants cause they want the complete extermination of the gods, the vanir since they would want to take over, the surviving aesir who are pissed off, and some mortals who hate the gods. Come on, there’s potential and I think the big bad who will start a new war will be an evil version of Loki from a bad future, the one the giants wanted to happen but Faye prevented. He will unite them all and lead them against Kratos or subtly influence them to cause death and destruction in his hatred for his father.
I only wish that the ragnarok war could've been more huge, whenever i think about it I think of an endless wave of armies clashing but this Ragnarok definitely felt smaller

Thor really got the raw deal in life. Forced to kill his own people simply cause Odin demands it and some reason Thor thinks so high and mighty of him. But Odin treated him like garbage even at the end.
It would be been amazing if instead of just dying at the start, Kratos and Thor fought together to fight Odin and maybe during the fight they switched weapons. Sure Thor still dies and Thrud eventually gets the hammer but at least it was still fanservice to those who actually wanted to use Thor's hammer. Heck, maybe they could have still given it to players as new game plus. Sure its similar to the Leviathan Axe but be an electric element and useful against shields where instead of just using the bash attack of the shield, you could just use the hammer to push back the defense.
Lol it's not similar to the axe at all. Don't care what the story says the hammer is clearly more impressive. If any weapon should have served as Kratos's main weapon it's the blades. Since in the past games he always got a new set to symbolize his changing in this game they could have been reforged as the Blades of Hope or maybe the Blades of the Savor. Like how in 3 he got the Blades of Exile. The new Blades could symbolize the fact that he now fights for others and is no longer fueled by rage born from pain . He is now a defender.
@@HaissamM Yeah, Kratos would give it to Thrud but it could still be use as a reward in New Game Plus if there was one. Lol it's not similar to the axe at all. Don't care what the story says the hammer is clearly more impressive. If any weapon should have served as Kratos's main weapon it's the blades. Like how in 3 he got the Blades of Exile. The new Blades could symbolize the fact that he now fights for others and is no longer fueled by rage born from pain . He is now a defender.

In the mythos, Thrud is also one of the strongest valkyrie. So much that Thor is sometimes referred to as Thrud's father or father of Thrud
The facts that she can easily pick it up with 1 hand when Kratos struggled with 2 is crazy ik when Atreus couldn’t even lift her sword and she lifted it easily with 1 hand she was strong
Kratos couldn't lift the hammer because it was already linked to Thor. It was only after he died that Odin and Thrud could lift it with ease. It does help that she's strong as fuck too.
She's also the daughter of Thor alongside her insane strength 💪
Maybe the "Worthy" rule also applies to this universe? Cause usually someone has to be "Worthy" to lift Mjolnir, Kratos ain't from this pantheon to begin with, nor does he has any connection to Odin/Thor whatsoever, so I doubt Kratos could lift it. Kinda explains why Odin was able to wield it with 1 hand too, and Odin is skinny is hell, and not stronger compared to Kratos when it comes to "raw strength", if I'm right?
