Yes, he does and his sincerity is obvious and I have striven for many years to get to this point and I kinda am worried I wont because as soon as she grins with admiration when Jordan Peterson is mentioned- I feel some anger beginning to rise...Namaste Z (after listening- she is naive and I am with him- anarchy, Russell and I have been around longer...) IS SHE A TEACHER, LORD HELP ANY STUDENT WHO DISAGREES WITH HER- A GOOD TEACHER ALLOWS FOR DISAGREEMENT AS LONG AS YOU CAN BACK UP YOUR ARGUMENT. MAYBE IT IS ME TODAY, I HAD A BAD DAY YESTERDAY, A DAY Candace wouldn't allow for-- mental illness to her is laziness probably, she is getting under my skin, I have a feeling she isn't very compassionate, Jordan Peterson "fell", his vulnerability became apparent but he owned up to it- I don't feel she is using her power for the good at all... she IS a teacher- bull, black people have been and are victimized (I am not black), sorry she has lost me...I guess I will check out one of her beloved monopolies, Amazon and see what she has written, cringe....

It seems like they agree about how a Utopia should exist generally, but they just can't find common ground leading to it. Candace Owens seems willfully ignorant several times here, though. She also contradicts herself quite obviously and often, even though she is technically honest, considering each claim separately. Russell showed a beautiful example of patience and tenacity in this podcast/interview. P.S. I think they're both wrong about god(s).

Candace is too smart and strong that she lacks empathy. She doesn’t understand that not everyone can be smart, mentally strong, driven and solve their own problems like her, not everyone have parents and community that can guide or support them. I do agree with her that anyone who works hard can improve their life but at the same time those who are in the lower rung of society are working hard but their earnings cannot get them out of poverty or afford them better opportunities.

Hard work does not automatically reward that, for example I work extremely hard since I was 15, I am now 45 I have never been successful, I have never had wealth, my spouse(s) through out my life (males) have always made 3 to 5 times more than me, even though I'm considered a "professional", and if I was single I would be living on the poverty line.

There is a Buddhist phrase or teaching, I believe, that says holding on to rage and hate is like holding onto a hot rock, waiting to throw it at the person or thing that you hate or are angry at. Holding onto it, the longer you do, it harms you , it burns you, and it does nothing to the person you're hating or angry at. And eventually, when the perfect opportunity to throw it comes along, it's not hot anymore and your hand is so scarred and in so much pain that you are likely to miss.
I've always loved that one. It sounds like your grandmother was very smart.

@@bellabilliebabyformerlylbt3896 Except In this case that hot rock was forced into the hands of these people for 200 hundred years. And after those two hundred years those same people were told that if they had any scares from those rock they still aren’t allowed to be around the people who didn’t have scars. Up until only 60 years ago they are now allowed to finally live among the non scarred people equal and are constantly reminded that they shouldn’t mention their scars because it happened so long ago...

Candace talks at warp speed to create the illusion that she has the answers to EVERYTHING….lol. If you slow her down, you see she throws multiple ideas at the listener at once. The best you can do for them is give them courage to compete. You do no good for a child to over protect them, and it is worse for society.
I think that’s Candace’s point. The government has told the black community, “you’ve been oppressed so we will take care of you. You don’t have to compete in society (because you are too far behind)! If the black community has any problem, and they do), it is in lack of expectations, both in themselves and both parties.

She starts cutting him off at that point and elevating her voice over him, and then actually speaking over him and at one point mocking him even when scoffing at the football/soccer player tweet. She just sounds like an angsty teenager at that point with a chip on her shoulder. I don't think she is as introspective as she thinks she is. Human, yes. The anti Trumpers are the rabble rousers. All the mask wearing buffoonery in the streets...aka ANTIFA... that is the rabble in the street. Haven't heard a single one of them say 'lock her up'. But if money is speech and money is power, then we’ve got to come together and force a change in government. Most political movements were successful because they had a financial aspect. We need to demand education reform, healthcare reform, and power over where our taxes go. If we fix these 3 things, people will be more informed healthier and more optimistic in government. Taking personal responsibility for where we are at any given time, can change our entire circumstance for the better. I keep clicking the "share" button. It's that good. I’ve only watched half of the podcast at this point but, I believe in the power of the individual but it took me years to find my own strength. I became unemployed when my kids were young and I started receiving food stamps. For several years I was employed on and off always ending up back on government assistance. It wasn’t until a new government policy threatened to revoked my ability to renew my food stamps unless I actively sought gainful employment. The requirements were similar to those of unemployment where I had to provide the contact information where I applied for jobs and the outlets I used to do so. It was a full time job seeking a job. It was such a successful program that I actually found employment and have been off government assistance ever since. With that said, had I not been forced into it, I would not have believed I could do it. I did need the government help, but I become dependent on it and developed a mindset that I wouldn’t be able to survive without it. It was a necessity, but it needed to be a limited time frame for me.

I must say I disagree, people like Candace Owens should not be platformed at all. She's a toxic hack financed and motivated to promote an agenda. For all her projection, it is her side that have no ideas or prescriptions to offer, indeed most of the biggest issues they deny or flat out ignore - furthermore, as we've seen so much these last few years, their ideology is so toxic and impossible to sell that they have to literally appropriate Leftist tradition and positions, cynically repackaging and redirecting it in some way to be "Conservative positions". Quite clever from a strategic point of view for a variety of reasons, but so dishonest and pathetic. I can't even count how many times Candace literally gaslighted Brand, branding her positions as original - that she thinks Brand is actually Conservative. Hah! There are a few ways of dealing with these people:
      1. Ignore them, or push them aside.
      2. Provide them exile or grounds to form their own society according to theit beliefs.
      3. See 1 and 2.

She simply spews common conservative talking points with know depth to explain why her new ideology is superior to her past support of progressive principles. She’s never debated anybody formidable in politics; instead she challenges celebrities who most likely don’t study these subjects. A couple years ago she ran a liberal website and was anti Trump. Her original career path was to become a actor. She created a website where people could be doxed. Humm being older than both of you and growing up with no parents and a drug/alcohol family background. From the age of 2yrs I remember all that happened. I went to a foster home. I was 2. I don't remember anything before that, but I remember entering that house and everything thereafter.
I never knew my mother and my father would visit me 5 times from my age of 9 til 16 when he suddenly died. I left my home town at 18 when the system released me.
I grew up in a strange world of mental anguish and being denied when others got favor. Let me explain this I grew up in a foster home where I was a small means of support for a family that needed to make ends meet for their children and their mortgage. I suffered no physical abuse. They were not bad people they were just making ends meet through the check they got for keeping a foster child.
And I lived in a nice neighborhood. But I was ALWAYS on the outside looking in. I was small, extremely thin and always depressed. Yes they fed me but I never had much of an appetite. I also was not smart. I grew up at the end of the illegitimate era and the stigma that comes with that. I watched for the 16yrs I was in that foster home all the favor children received from their parents in the neighborhood and didn't really appreciate it. I had to fight envy, jealousy, hate and despair from an early age. I was treated like a nobody and given no love. I was just there. I was often told " you'll be just like your parents." That statement confused me cause I didn't know my parents. If I had any talent or wanted to learn something to better myself for the future it was ignored at home and at school.
Everyone knew I was an orphan and no one cared.
    I was just there.
I saw so much, I learned so much that made me angry as I grew up. But I had faith, I had GOD. Eventually I took the negative and turned it positive through GOD's guidance and learned how to survive and be stronger for myself by the time I was 27 and far away from where I grew up. Coming off of homelessness then welfare. To go to job training and getting a job which I worked for 28yrs. It was the anger and being denied and being told what I would be that drove me to finally change my life. Never liked drugs or alcohol thank GOD. And when I dumped going no where people out of my life I finally went somewhere.

@Nicholas Frechen I think you got a good chunkmof this right. However, continuing the right vs left trend is extremely dangerous. The left doesn't see the government as broken while the right sees it as a failure. If we find a healthy balance between right and left we could strengthen the individual and community by placing those programs sponsored by the government in the trash, and becoming compassionate for ourselves. The left wants to place compassion in the government while the right wants the government to be almost obliterated. I am neither. I am a conspiracy nut honestly. Nothing we do with government can work because of the power it retains but because of the power we feed into it. Basically, by staring right or left in a conversation these days one side goes willfully deaf to what you are saying.

@Nicholas Frechen The government is big because capitalists need it to be big. Otherwise, their master/slave co-dependent abusive relationship with the rest of humanity will be exposed for what it is. Psychopathy writ large.

Though, I don't think it's a matter of Russell not understanding, they're just looking at things from different perspectives. The video is "psychologist debunks 8 myths of mass scale" by Big Think

Russell you need to listen to what Candace is saying, so you can understand. Candace is that true friend who will tell you those jeans don’t look nice, try these jeans. Not like most people who lie to you and say how nice you look when their thought is completely the opposite!
