Well, frankly, I am a bit confused. As we all know, prophet Abraham pbuh, had a recurring dream, and he ACTED upon that dream. Also, prophet Joseph pbuh, had the power of dream interpretation. And at the beginning of the lecture it was said, that God may be sending you a message via a dream, (which ties in beautifully with the idea of the subconscious mind, also a creation of Allah). I think dreams are our subconscious mind showing what are conscious mind has not been able to. So dreams are a good way to know ourselves in a deeper sense, and this is nothing but the Power and Mercy of Allah.
