HEY! It feels likes it's been an eternity since I've last talked to you guys. I've missed getting all personal with yall! There's been so much going on. Moving, dealing with new house-work (you know, all that adult stuff you never want to deal with HA), but most importantly, my bf and I finally closed the distance for a short while! We met for the first time and decided to share our story with all of you. We know that many people have gotten into long-distance relationships during covid (we're in the same boat!), so for the never-mets, hope this pushes you forward! I'm in a ldr too! I met my bf in person in September after 1 year of talking everyday. We started as friends too, but feelings developed. I live in Spain and he lives in Germany, I travelled to see him. I agree that being in a ldr makes you grow as a person, it also makes you connect with someone else emotionally and mentally in a way you could never imagine, you get to know him/her so well after talking for so long (if you connect since the beginning cause the conversations just flow); you can talk about deep things but also about the most absurd stuff, but everything is always SOO interesting!! We always said it was addicting talking to each other. We don't go on virtual dates, I personally find that weird, we send videos about things we want to share throughout the day, videos of us talking when we can't videocall, voicenotes... and we obviously videocall at night or whenever we feel like doing so. We also watch netflix on teleparty together. We just found THE WAY of communicating in the distance, but we didn't force it AT ALL, and thats the greatest thing, cause everything just flows NATURALLY!! Whenever we are together in person, before leaving we have already planned another trip/visit, its very important to have something to look forward to when you´re apart, so its essential to have a date and to know you´ll see that person by then

I've been with my partner for over 10 years. I met him other over tumblr back in 2011. I live in Vancouver too and he lives in California. We didn't meet until a year almost passed by (2012) but for some reason we both persisted becuase we agreed it just felt right. We were friends first but that foundation just developed into something greater. We're still in an LDR because he's in med school and I'm currently tied in a work contract right now but we definitely feel like we've grown so much together as a couple and we're even stronger now :) Trust me, it's definitely worth all the hard work ❤️

Great video! That is a key reminder that the other person isn't responsible for your happiness and both need to be independent. Independence and space is crucial for personal growth, so when you guys do reunite/come together you're better together.

uff yall are amazing and made me cry wow im in tears may god protect u from all evil eyes i love how i can learn soo much positive stuff from u guys i try my best in life and ingeneral to not be controlled by my emotions thanku soo much for such great life advice. i dont have any like major expectations i just never truly felt understood or seen and i hope in life whenever i get in a relationship i wanna feel seen for who i am and not explain so much because i struggle alot mentally with anxiety and depression i grew up in a dysfunctinal home and like still to this day im trying my best to heal i never as a child opened up about my struggles went thru it all alone i still struggle with that which resulted in me being very independent but i also dont open up cux i feel like a burden as annie said so i could definitely relate to both of yall .
