    To my ears these 3rd Gen Air pods are more comfortable compared to the newer Pro version with the soft gel tips. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxgl8SzyQoymMu-S3V55Dskg5QJ8xr1yCR That said, compared to the 3rd Gen, I notice these do not stay planted in the ear as well. One design issue I think, is you squeeze the stem and click it twice to advance your songs. On 3rd gen you tap the large speaker. The difference is by grabbing the stem each time, you tend to loosen the bud fit in your ear. Not always, but the bud falls out a few times while running. The old tap to change never had that problem for me. I would not have changed that tap function. That said, the newer Pro version sticks in the ear, almost airtight if you want that. I do not like that Airtight fit. So that's why I'd stay with this version as the best trade off of comfort, use, and overall feel.

    I’ve had the buds for a few months now and there actually is a different coloring to the LEDs depending on the battery level. Blue, purple/pink and Red indicating high, medium and low battery. But overall, great review! I’d fully recommend these earbuds

    • @daddoestechyt
      @daddoestechyt  4 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      You sir are correct! I should have mentioned it. Being an RGB led it does have a couple other colors. I should have mentioned that. I've never seen purple on my set, if it's purple then purple and pink are similar. This is a good point though. I still prefer the multi light notification lights as it makes it easier for my tiny brain to easily remember what the battery life is opposed to remembering colors, but it does achieve the same thing. These are still my main go to earbuds for working out and just jamming since I like the sound a lot and they are super comfy. Thanks for sharing that insight with us all!

    amazing review! you covered everything :) is there a way to turn off the led's? or are they turned off when in use anyway? also you said, they switch to mono automatically. do they switch when you put one of them out of the ear or if you put one of them in the box? I'm going to buy the M30+ :)

    • @daddoestechyt
      @daddoestechyt  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks so much! Appreciate the kind words! As for your questions, I am going to assume that the LED you are referring to is the red one on the buds vs the case. The LED only lights up when you press on it when they in your ears and paired. The only time they flash is when they are not paired, in the case or when you press on the touch controls. If you are just wearing them they won't be flashing all the time. As for the mono mode and twin mode, it is a fluid exchange. When you have one in and take out the second, you may here a beep and a pause for a second then the music will start back up on its own with either both ear buds if you are using both or in whichever one is in your ear when you close the case. Hope that helps. If I didn't answer your question, let me know and I will do my best to get you the answer.

    maybe someone can explain this concept to me, why does everyone keep saying you 100 hours of listening with the upgraded mpow, don't you have to recharge the headphones every 5 hours no matter which mpow you buy. So it just 5 hours of listening or do I have it wrong. Please explain fairly new wireless user so just really figuring things out. Just found out this morning it takes 45 minutes to charge the earbuds this morning. thanks in advance for response .

    • @daddoestechyt
      @daddoestechyt  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, that's a great question and I can see how that phrasing could be confusing. It s true the buds have only a 5 hour charge, the difference is in the cases. The buds are charged in the case so the numbers are relative to how many hours the case can charge before you have to recharge the case itself. The regular m30 case can charge a total of 20 hours which would charge the buds 4 times. The m30 Plus case has a much bigger battery that can charge for 95 hours and with a 5 hour charge on the buds that makes a total of 100 hours. Hope that helps.

      I have been using these for about 3-4 weeks (got them before Amazon dropped them for the review debacle) and never used them for voice. And they are downright unusable for voice, but hey they are very good for $30 for audio. I am a "good enough" audiophile so they work great for me. I also have tried my friends airpod pros and beats and those are clearly superior audio quality, but these are good enough for me. I've lost or damaged so many headsets it isn't worth to pay more than $40 bucks for me.

      The case is the thing that charges up to give you a total of 100 hours of listening time. The buds will give you about 5 hours of listening per charge and then you toss them in the case which can then charge them about 19 times. It does feel a little misleading in their marketing materials with 100 hours of listening time but what they mean is its 100 hour before you charge the case, not the buds. Hope that helps.

    • @daddoestechyt
      @daddoestechyt  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, under $60 i really think the FIIL T1XS are my favorite earbuds. The fit is really dependent on the user but the sound, comfort and mics are the best in this category and it has a mobile app that you can EQ the earbuds. You can find them in black or white here. amzn.to/35D1M3g
      If you dont mind a slightly more thick case you can save some money on the slightly older version is almost identical from a sound quality and design perspective. The major differences is really in the case. the case is matte instead of glossy and the case is just taller in height. You can find them here. amzn.to/3kFTAn5
      I prefer the matte black on the orignal t1x but I like the height on the t1xs. I don't think you can go wrong with either unless you find they don't fit your ears or something. hope that helps. Those are affiliate links by the way so if you do buy them or any earbuds by using those links you support the channel. Doesn't cost you anything, just letting you know for transparency. Let me know if you have any other questions.

    Have you tried connecting these to your laptop? I've gone through 2 sets of these now (one was sent as a replacement) and using it with Windows 10 + Teams on my laptop only the right earbud pics up sound with the microphone, nothing from the left one. And it only does so when the earbud is 2cm away from my mouth, making the whole thing useless for voice calls. But apart from that sound quality and comfort is great!

    What you recommend for phone calls ?

    • @daddoestechyt
      @daddoestechyt  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It depends on what your budget is really. In the sub $50 category there a few solid options. For sheer call quality and Reliability the current best option in my opinion are the taotronics soundliberty 88 stem style earbuds and I have a video on them here th-cam.com/video/D3pi7P-K_P4/w-d-xo.html. If you are looking for a slightly less expensive option than that are good all around earbuds with good sound and pretty good quality, I would pick the FIIL T1X or the Soundliberty 79. I think the sound quality and fit are better on the FIIL T1X but the case is a tad on the chunky side. It still fits in your pocket but not as low profile. The Soundliberty 79 have solid sound but I found they didn't always stay in a tight fit for a long time in my ears, they would loosen up over time and I would have to readjust the fit. The mics on them might be just the slightest bit better than the FIIL T1X but they are super close. The taotronics case is way thinner though. Any of those 3 will get you reliable call quality just depends if you want better audio quality, stem style design or thin case. Hope that helps!

    • @daddoestechyt

      They are both really close. I think I prefer the mpow in terms of the sound stage. I think it feels a bit more dynamic overall and I like their fit better with the wing tips. However the enacfire e60 have great sound quality in their own right and they have better mics for calls and better battery life. So I would pick which of those features are more important to you and roll with that one. Both are solid.

    About the mic...did you try using another phone??? Thanks

    • @daddoestechyt
      @daddoestechyt  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Great question I tried it with a google pixel 4 and a samsung galaxy note 9 with similar results. It was slightly different but still less than desirable. The mics are not great quality but results could vary a little from device to device. since I don't have an iPhone I cannot say whether or not that would be different. I can say that mic sound will be very different on pc vs phone do to the dedicated sound card. All earbuds will be more compressed sounding on a phone vs pc. These mics are passable if synced to a pc.

If portability is important and you don't want a chunky case go with the m30, but if case size is not important go with the m30 plus. The m30 plus support aptx low latency for slightly better performance in on things like videos and will have insane battery life, with the powerbank functionality. • @daddoestechyt
      @daddoestechyt  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Thanks for the question. I unfortunately havent tried the M7 so I cant rank that one but I will give you my rankings and brief thoughts on the other 3.
      1. MPOW M30 Plus - Really dynamic Sound with thick bass, you can hear all the frequencies, aptx support, lower latency, and mono mode works well and has solid bluetooth connection.
      2. M5 - This makes second place on my list but it outperforms the MPOW M30 in Bass output and volume output. I would say overall the sound is a hair better and the mics were a little better, but they have a weaker bluetooth connection, comfort and fit is not as good as the m30 and the case is a chunk but they check all your boxes for overall sound quality.
      3. M12 - While solid, good sounding earbuds these fall a little short in almost every area compared to the other 2.
      The M30 plus is the best overall package and the M5 is the best overall sound. Thats how I would describe it. Hope that helps! Merry Christmas!

    Great review and I own such set of iems but unfortunately for me after a year the sound now is 50% of what it was when new, now I have to go 100% on the volume on my phone. I never abuse my electronics so I don't understand what happened and no! I have not lost my hearing all my other wired iems sound great at 50 volume
