What Brooke has done to mess up her own kids (having them be siblings and also uncle and niece, marrying her son's brother, confusing Eric Jr about who his father and grandmother are, giving them four father figures in three years) is FAR worse than Taylor giving them swimming lessons.
You make it sound like Brooke is the only one involved in this and no one else has any responsibility. Wasn’t Eric the one who pursued her when she was in a very vulnerable time in her life after just losing Ridge’s baby and he left her. Eric who k we how much in love she was with him? Isn’t Eric the father of little Eric? Where is he? Doesn’t Ridge know who the father of Eric Jr is? Doesn’t Stephanie know she is not his real grandmother? She would be the one who dictates what she is called. Did Stephanie not know it was wrong to go behind Brooke’s back and arrange for these swimming lessons or did Stephanie just do this so the kids would learn to swim and had no clue how wrong and sneaky this is? Just like Eric and her tried to sneakily take away Brooke’s interest in the company. Is Brooke innocent in this? No but she sure isn’t alone. Ridge happily took over the father role as well. This is a crazy soap.

The closing theme today has been updated. It’s the same theme but it’s got a crispness and it has tightened up. This particular 1987 version was used a lot in the first few years. Several episodes ago I noticed the opening and a different 1987 version of the closing were updated (same melody, but slightly modernized and clearer).
No wonder Brooke's paranoia and insecurities are at an all time high. All her men are feeling sorry for Taylor: Eric, Ridge, James, and now even Connor. 🤭🤭
Gorgeous Taylor is calm, cool, collected. Her unconditional love for Ridge and joy at being with “his” children on display. 🥰 Then there’s Brooke who projects her machinations and manipulations and “games” onto Taylor in her histrionic, irrational voice and tone. 🤯 The choice is obvious Ridge.
Gorgeously lunatic Taylor believes she can bring up another woman's children. Which shrink would agree to that? It makes me sad how much they have destroyed Taylor's character.
*The Show Must Go On* Starting with the Irv letters, this storyline with Macy, Thorne and Anthony has been built om variations of themes from past storylines involving each of these characters. We have seen references to Ridge's sho oting and the Deveney Dixon storyline, Thorne's Othello characteristics, Macy's wrongful arrest, Thorne and Macy's past misunderstandings, the Cyrano plot, the tape recorder, and so on. Now, we have Macy risking her life to "put on a show" for Thorne's sake - _which is exactly what she did in Rotterdam._ And just like in Rotterdam, Sally discovers what Macy's doing midway through the "show", and confronts her about it. Today's scene with Sally and Macy mirrors their backstage scene during intermission in Rotterdam (episode 1933) almost verbatim. And this conversation in the office also happens "during intermission" - that is, while Macy is "taking a break" from her act after having accepted Anthony's marriage proposal. The entire scene structure is identical in the two episodes: Sally pleading with Macy to level with her. Macy trying to evade Sally's questions but giving up and "dropping the act". Sally being terrified for her daughter and demanding she can cel the performance. Macy insisting that the show must go on. Sally objecting that what Macy refers to as a show is actually deadly serious. Macy saying that she is willing to risk her life for Thorne's sake, and asking for Sally's understanding. Sally reluctantly agreeing to Macy's plan despite her fears for her daughter's safety. Even the subtle but touching moment between Sally and Macy at the end of the scene - just as Macy is leaving, Sally instinctively reaches for her, but ultimately has to let go - is present in the "mirror scene" in episode 1933, as Macy goes back out on stage, leaving Sally behind to worry about her.
Oh that's such a great connection between Rotterdam and Macy tricking Anthony now! There was even a fun side plot with Sally and Eric in both of them (on the plane/going out to Cafe Russe).
@@NewYorkNick0607 yes, you are right about the Sally/Eric scene! And to further connect the two scenes, Sally spent the night at the Café Russe talking about how much fun she and Eric had had in Rotterdam!
Brooke is the constant projector. She accuses anyone she sees as an enemy of doing things that she would do. Taylor is not manipulative nor would she sink to Brooke's level but Brooke can't comprehend that. She is truly incapable of compassion and empathy and if anyone who questions that she attacks. Brooke is a narcissist and so everything is about her or what she thinks is being done to her. She can hide that side of her from Ridge but the mask drops when she is dealing with anyone she sees as a threat.
Wait. So in order to "speed things up", Connor and Brooke come to the conclusion to talk to _Omar,_ as opposed to _talking to Ridge?_ 😂 Ridge really is treated like an object in this storyline!
I can understand why Taylor has the need to assert her place now that she has come back . She really wants to start from the point she left. So the first issue is if she is the legal wife even, as she said, it will not be relevant if Ridge doesn't want her. Brooke, on the other hand, is worried that her Mrs Ridge Forrester status is not valid, otherwise all that she wanted and waited for 7 years is not real yet Sorry I have to add So she desperately wants Omar and Taylor marriage valid
Our board- Karen is at it again, praising boring and shallow Bridge a supercouple...and all her other comments sound as if she was competing with all the non Brooke stans...😂🙈
Ah.. Brooke shows her true colours (as if we ever had any doubt)... Her little miss nice girl at the press conference was only for show and to keep Taylor under her thumb like she "owes" her now. Also Brooke was never and has never been genuine about her "friendship" with Steph... nor was she ever going to give the stock back unless everybody was doing everything her way. She really does not care about running Forrester, and as I have always said, taking over the company was 90 percent bc of Ridge and 10 percent to hold something over Steph . Those stock (like her children) are just a tool to be dangled over everyone's heads so she can get what she wants.
Excatly. Ans Stephanie has never been dishonest about what she thinks of Brooke, what the "peace moment" was about and that her "love and acceptance" can't be bought. Brooke only chose to not listen. Stephanie owes Brooke nothing. Brooke was using the children, family and the company.
@@galoutlaw8089 Brooke, like any other disingenuous and selfish person, will bring the real self out when backed into a corner... And that's just how she feels now. Esp upon realising Steph isn't in that corner with her lol
If Ridge really doesn't want Taylor he has to ask for a divorce, until then anyone will hold on to hope. Unlike Brooke it's not easy to get rid of a wife !!
Taylor knew better and mentioned how it didn't feel right, how it might upset Brooke and lead to Taylor never seeing the sweet little ones again, but obviously grandma Stephanie made more sense to the shrink than trusting Taylor's own sense.
The Morocco storyline may have been saved if Brooke went from throwing vases to psychotic break and actually plotted to kill Taylor. At least it would be something different and would get the story moving. But no, the breakdown comes a year later and, when it does, Brooke does little more than hang out in Barbados and play with dolls. I also remember her losing the ability to speak English😂
You would think a bourgeoise family in LA would already have an on-site, private swim instructor. Furthermore, does Taylor have a swim instructor's certificate? Where did she get the time to get this while going to medical school, having two residencies (oncology and psychiatry), running a medical practice, being away for a year and still being in her 20s? I guess anything's possible in soaps (like Sally giving birth to CJ in her 50s). Of course, we know that Stephanie is doing this to win Ridge back for Taylor, so the producers had to create some hook.
Yeah right. Most people wouldn't appreciate someone sneaking behind their back and using their kids to lure the person's husband. Taylor has always been a duplicitous hypocrite.
Some people might think Taylor is their mom. It was Stephanie's idea, so it's not Taylor being a hypocrite in my opinion! The biggest hypocrite is still Brooke
brooke is psychotic lolll if her children are liking and having a good time with taylor she feels she cannot use them as weapon to pain how evil is taylor for trying to destroy her family. i remember seeing on tv when the court at rule in favor of taylor marriage to ridge been the one who is valid. taylor was so happy but i think ridge ask her for a divorce after....

@@NewYorkNick0607 Okay that's almost creepy ... I was trying to figure out how to wangle Eric's snipetty-snip into my post, but couldn't figure out how to.
You forgot Taylor's one, the night Brooke showed at the guest house before living for Paris with Ridge. But as a good girl then she threw it at the door once Brooke left.
Brooke is unraveling while Taylor remains calm….Brooke is worried that Ridge will go back to Taylor even though he comes home to her and spends next to no time with Taylor….Taylor believes he will leave Brooke for her ,and he only ever sees her when she comes over unannounced .The one time when she did call him ,he told her not to come ,but she came anyway. It’s strange that Taylor isn’t concerned like Brooke ??
Well, Taylor has a secret weapon…Steph. So she now feels empowered. Brooke on the other-hand is feeling insecure…mainly because she had some bad experiences with Ridge in the past concerning Taylor. So she is weary…on who and what to Trust? 🤷♀️ Also Caroline…so deep down her Trust in Ridge is in question? My take…😮
Taylor feels like she has the high ground with Brooke, Afterall she was married to ridge longer even with Brooke and her dangling carrots thats why she's so confident which comes across as delusional to me because she acts like nothing happened in those 6 months. Brookes insecure because she knows Taylor's a threat to her family.
I think both Taylor and Brooke are used to their _previous_ roles and acting as if they are still in the same place. Brooke is used to being in an "insecure" position where Ridge is concerned and feels insecure even now when she's really in a position of strength. Taylor is used to being in a "secure" position with Ridge, and feels confident even now when her position is considerably weakened. Neither woman is actually reacting to the _present_ situation, rather they are acting as if everything is the way it was pre Morocco.
Imagine, Sally had disowned Macy over that psycho. She should thanking Macy that she took Anthony before she married him. I am not loving Brooke's new hair. I understand KKL is very athletic so a shorter cut is easier to manage. Her eyebrow shaping however is immaculate. Taylor's hair color isn't so flattering either. I believe it was more flattering on her face and eyes when her hair is so intensely brown it's almost black as it was when she was Princess Leila.
Brooke thinks everyone who doesn’t echo her narrative is the bad guy, much like Omar. Throwing the vase is akin to Taylor doing the same to Br👀ke in episode 1744 at 7: 52. Keeping with the role reversal. (cc: *Nick and Annie* ) _Eight Long Years_ really 4:56
@@galoutlaw8089 Yes Brooke never lived with Ridge, was never proposed twice, never ended her marriage to be with Ridge with Ridge wanting her and pressuring her to, Brooke was never a constant feature in BOTH his marriages, Caroline's case when Brooke didn't even give a damn for Ridge anymore and never even contacted him, and Ridge himself couldn't even answer Felicia's simple question why Caroline and not Brooke, all that in Brooke's mind, only Caroline and Taylor existed and were loved. Ok. We saw those things too. Brooke was always there.

@@kimlambert2127 Yep, Taylor being sneaky while playing innocent Victim? It’s one her character traits…that and waiting for Ridge in the wings? Speaking for Ridge upon occasion…😃 Having Steph as back up…🤣 I’d like to hear the defense of Taylor on her own…without always bringing up well, Brooke did this and that…😁
Brooke is not the only one good at that. Better hide your vases (or other throwing material) if you met someone like these characters. ⛑ Taylor already throw a vase at the door of the Forrester guest house, when Ridge went on a business trip with Brooke. In 2011 Stephanie's granddaughter Steffy will throw a vase at a door when her love interest decides to stay with his wife after the wife's heart attack. And she will smash another vase, when her on-off husband tells her that he has married her Australian cousin. In 2022 Ridge will throw a vase at a character that still needs to be introduced, Deacon. Hide the vases!
Because Taylor is doing this behind Brooke’s back. Taylor also knew Brooke might not approve but did it anyway?😮 Brooke also knows that Steph set this up and she knows why. 🤨
"Those children, those children ....."....those is a distancing word, a detachment from the article in question and in this case, the children. No matter how many times Taylor says that she wants to get close to "those children", she really is putting distance between her and the children. I wonder if the writers did that on purpose.
Good point - I think "the children" would be a more natural thing to say, and of course referring to them by name would be the most natural thing of all. "Those children" is a strange choice in the writing, unless, as you say, it is intentional.
"I don't even know who the h e ll I'm married to here!" This one line hilariously summarizes Ridge's entire existence.

Then there’s Brooke who projects her machinations and manipulations and “games” onto Taylor in her histrionic, irrational voice and tone. 🤯
The choice is obvious Ridge.
Not to mention Brooke's very mature throwing tantrum at Taylor's back to get her attention.

*The Show Must Go On*
Starting with the Irv letters, this storyline with Macy, Thorne and Anthony has been built om variations of themes from past storylines involving each of these characters.
YES, she didn't hide it from Ridge when she took over the company because like you say: She shows that side to anyone she sees as an enemy
Taylor is not manipulative? Seriously? Please, give us a break
perfectly said
Wait. So in order to "speed things up", Connor and Brooke come to the conclusion to talk to _Omar,_ as opposed to _talking to Ridge?_ 😂
Ridge really is treated like an object in this storyline!
I can understand why Taylor has the need to assert her place now that she has come back . She really wants to start from the point she left. So the first issue is if she is the legal wife even, as she said, it will not be relevant if Ridge doesn't want her. Brooke, on the other hand, is worried that her Mrs Ridge Forrester status is not valid, otherwise all that she wanted and waited for 7 years is not real yet
Sorry I have to add
So she desperately wants Omar and Taylor marriage valid
Ridge should just go back to Beijing and not come back til Brooke, Connor and Taylor and her lawyer (plus Steph) make his decision 😂

Taylor is so presumptuous. Assuming that Ridge will leave Brooke when he has said nothing to indicate that.
That's because she believes it. Brooke does not believe her own claims.
Taylor has every reason to think this. Ridge has chosen Taylor over Brooke over and over again. Plus she is his legal wife.

Most people would be happy that someone taught their kids to swim

Also Caroline…so deep down her Trust in Ridge is in question? My take…😮
@@bettyhopson good take :)
Don't mind me. I'm just here as a "neutral observer." Carry on. 🍿
Ridge needs time to let Taylor go. Given his personal stat, two months will be enough.
Brooke thinks everyone who doesn’t echo her narrative is the bad guy, much like Omar. Throwing the vase is akin to Taylor doing the same to Br👀ke in episode 1744 at 7: 52. Keeping with the role reversal. (cc: *Nick and Annie* )
