    Most of AC/DC's songs fall into "anthem" territory, but Highway to Hell just fits soooo much better. Great reaction to them!

    This was the next to last song from a 1 hour and 53 minute concert. The previous song was Let There Be Rock with the 17 minute guitar solo from Angus (in the shorts). You need to check out this whole show. The crowd was like this for the whole show. 220,000 people over 3 shows.

    I’ve seen AC/DC numerous times live since 1991. They usually open the encore set with “Highway To Hell.” You should check out “Whole Lotta Rosie” from the River Plate show.

      Hard to say it cuz it's AC/DC, but the crowd is kinda the highlight of this concert. Whole lotta rosie is madness. Look closely when the whole band kicks in at the beginning... theres like a dozen mosh pits going on the floor. But this song is tops for the concernt. The crowd is shaking the stadium. Look at the large screens on stage. When the shot being shown is from a camera far away, you can see the shaking; the camera cant hold the shot still. Insane.

    The AC/DC concert at Doncaster Race Circuit has a really good version of Thunderstruck. Whether TH-cam would allow it????

    PLEASE do For Those About To Rock (Studio version). AC/DC should definitely be experienced live, but the studio version of For Those About To Rock just shows Brian Johnson in his prime. There is a live version other than River Plate that would be a good option as well!

    First singr was Bon Scott who died of alcohol fb 1980. Band Saw Brian Johnson at a club who was actually having a seizure on stage and thought it was part of his act and liked what they saw and brought him into the group. One of the few groups to replace lead singer and get even bigger.

    • @roberthudson1959
      @roberthudson1959 ปีที่แล้ว

      According to Johnson himself, after his audition he told the others that he had to go home and get ready to work in the morning. They told him not to worry about his old job because his new job was being their lead singer.

    You said in your reaction that Brian must take lots of honey
    to keep his voice like this. He was asked this at an interview
    "I have never used any form of lubrication for my voice "
    I still smoke. I know I shouldn't
    He did 3 songs at a festival this summer at age 75 Still going strong
    BTW people refer to AC/DC as an Australian band but the Young Brothers
    were both born in Scotland. Brian is from Newcastle

  • @mikefetterman6782
    @mikefetterman6782 ปีที่แล้ว

    Most of Brian's voice is just a trait common in the Northern parts of England (He is from Newcastle England, not far from where Angus, Malcolm, and his predecessor were born, near Glasgow Scotland, they moved down under when they were kids). The industrial, cold salt and sea in his voice is called "Geordie voice" incidentally, he was recruited into ACDC after his other band Geordie took a tank. Geordie is a term for the northeastern England guys. I think it is comparable to "redneck' or hillbilly, or something similar in the US to represent a life style, but more a regional life style. Without that voice, there is no way he could have taken over after Bon died.

    • @mikefetterman6782
      @mikefetterman6782 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also, Brian and Angus famously, relax backstage before each show and drink tea, and smoke cigarettes endlessly.

    The "highway to hell" was the elevator ride Australian copper miners took at the what was then called the Olympic Dam project at Roxby Downs in out back South Australia. Bon Scott worked there for a little while before becoming the original lead singer of ACDC. When you going down that elevator to the 800 meter platform, its really feels like a highway to hell. I know I've don't that trip.
