I think I’ll start working towards this build, it’s hella fun welding a big-ass sword, whilst throwing some magic into this mix. Don’t get to experience that with many games. Thanks for the concise bite sized video on it 👏
I run the gas/staff sentinel build and it slaps. Not so much in PVP unless you battle in a group but excellent for pve. May not have the highest dose in game but it's a lot of fun.
I’ve been playing for a week now and been using GS/staff was gonna go dagger/wand but this is more my play style, does this build take a while to build or can you build it fairly early game? I’m on chapter 8
I'd say it takes a normal amount of time to get the gear. Of course that depends on rng and how lucky you are with some drops. Similar with other builds though.
GS/staff has a lot of similarities as Staff/dagger it seems. One getting more out of heavy attack chance and stun and the other with constant flow of crits and stealth. hard choice for me to focus on at launch.
gs/staff is much better in pvp due to the unpredictable gameplay you can put onto your foes, especially in 1v1, dagger is too predictable and the damage from staff/gs is op, especially the wombo combo potential dmg, i would safely say it is better in 1v1 any day.
dagger is better at survival, so it could be safer therefore better in larger scale, more sneak opportunities for big aoe, but too easy to read in 1v1, so the staff/gs outperforms in 1v1 or small, staff/dagger better in large, but depends what you are choosing to do because you can also skirmish in large scale.
The Build is up to date. Check your skill specializations, some of the skills i am using are specializations of base skills. You can check the written guide for more detailed skills(specialization+base) arzyelbuilds.com/throne-and-liberty-greatsword-staff-dps-build/
Can i get the reasoning behind the use of the Frost Master staff passive? Am i reading it wrong or does it only effect Movement speed. I don’t think that’s too important for PVE is it?
not with this skill setup because Staff is supportive to GS right now. You could have Staff as main but i'd advise to focus more on range and some other staff skills while having GS assisting with stuns.
I see people hating on GS/Staff and I do a lot better then most people i play with using this combo did a dungeon and every died and the boss was at 40% and i got him to 10% by myself before he one shot me.
Bruh I got kicked from a party and I was doing the most damage was crazy. The other time I I defeated the boss in the dungeon when everyone else died 🙄 like ok buddy.
The videos I've seen with Staff and greatsword build always look great and I want to run it myself. But why are people saying on other sites that it's really bad? Like D Tier combination?
Other combinations are simply stronger in terms of DPS. That's all, you can use this setup if you wish and still be abel to clear everything and have fun.
you have to keep in mind how guides and tier lists work, people are ranking based on preferences and peak. I've seen people say daggers isn't good for pve, but i'm chewing through mobs really well with thunder focus instead of poison. It comes down to gear and your playstyle and learning your skill synergies with situations. Maybe another build would be better dps wise or easier to make it work, but it doesn't mean daggers suck. Just means the other is better for one reason or another. So someone saying daggers suck for pve either didn't learn it proper, picked a weapon combo they didn't like, is just saying its not as good as another or they didn't actually play it. This is why most people take tier guides with a grain of salt. What really matters is knowing your skills, knowing tactics for what you're fighting and being decently geared. Everything works and everything is viable.
@meridian6042 That is a great explanation. I always took Tier lists seriously. But this explanation has totally changed that for me. I decided to run Staff and GS in the end and with all the combos I've tried, I am having a blast with it! Pve and pvp.

Have fun!
Gs staff is just a fun way to play.
it is!

I already decided to go full healer with wand/bow but I’m definitely leveling these weapon masteries second!
REALLY GREAT VIDEO I LOVE THE ice :)
Thank you! Have fun :)
This build fuckin slaps my guy
❤
@@ArzyeLGaming I tried to go for something similar making a spinny boy Ice build but the damage output wasn't nearly as comparable
How is your lightning proc seems like it’s 100% for the double proc every time?
I want to play some kind of Ice Warrior so bad, I'll use this as a basis and experiment upon release ! Thx for the nice video !
Have fun! You could also check this one for an Ice Warrior Build

two hander with a robe i love it :D
What is greatsword/staff pros and cons vs staff/dagger? Does GS/Staff just have more burst or is the sustain better also?
GS/staff has a lot of similarities as Staff/dagger it seems. One getting more out of heavy attack chance and stun and the other with constant flow of crits and stealth.
hard choice for me to focus on at launch.
Both are fun, Dagger as secondary might be easier early for pve and later pvp
gs/staff is much better in pvp due to the unpredictable gameplay you can put onto your foes, especially in 1v1, dagger is too predictable and the damage from staff/gs is op, especially the wombo combo potential dmg, i would safely say it is better in 1v1 any day.

do you have a build for pvp?
is this weapon combo hard to play? do i need to check the spell combos? i like this fantasy of gs and staff :D
Not that hard. Knowing what each skill does will be helpful though :)
Also what about masteries?
Hello! You can check the written guide for masteries and other details if you wish
arzyelbuilds.com/throne-and-liberty-greatsword-staff-dps-build/
A question brother, how do you do it. What skill or equipment generates mana and life while you use the skills? This is my build but I can’t find that
Its the GS passive, Victor's Morale, that does this.
arzyelarmory.com/victors-morale-throne-and-liberty/
It's one of the GS passives..
@@TheFudily thanks
Can you update this build? There are abilities you have on that I dont see as an option in the game at the moment

some skills change the icon and name since it turns into a completely new skill through specialization as mentioned above
@ArzyeLGaming thank you 🙏🏼 I just needed to level up more haha
Can i get the reasoning behind the use of the Frost Master staff passive? Am i reading it wrong or does it only effect Movement speed.
I don’t think that’s too important for PVE is it?
I'm new to this Game:: wanna try some Magic Warrior: thats why i'm interested in this build
You'll love it! Staff Dagger might also interest you
arzyelbuilds.com/staff-dps-build-tl/
although it's more mage with support from dagger
@@ArzyeLGaming Thank you 👍
would it also be good to run the gs in off-hand?
not with this skill setup because Staff is supportive to GS right now. You could have Staff as main but i'd advise to focus more on range and some other staff skills while having GS assisting with stuns.
What leg armor, hands, and helmet can we use bro ???
Hello, you can check the written guide for armor pieces and other details if you wish

Any pvp videos for gs/staff?
not yet. I''ll focus on PVP videos after global launch.
What do you mean by global launch? It isn't out everywhere yet?@@ArzyeLGaming
Sieht Mega aus ,ist es Anfängerfreundlich? Oder nur Spielbar mit high End Gear ?
This build can be use in PVP? i love the gameplay but everyone tell me is bad to PVP
It's a PVE Build as it is. It will take quite a few changes(gear, sets) to work well in PVP
Hard to decide between auto attacking range or melee
I go for melee since the build is mainly GS with Staff as support
does it work well in pvp?
haven't tested it enough in pvp i'm afraid. There are a few changes i'd make for that type of content though
I see people hating on GS/Staff and I do a lot better then most people i play with using this combo did a dungeon and every died and the boss was at 40% and i got him to 10% by myself before he one shot me.
GS/Staff is so much fun and works well. If you like it stick with it, no reason to switch to something meta for others. Cheers!
Bruh I got kicked from a party and I was doing the most damage was crazy. The other time I I defeated the boss in the dungeon when everyone else died 🙄 like ok buddy.
Never play meta. That’s what I’ve learned. If a games “meta” is so broken, then a game would die instantly. This is not one of those games.
Gs dagger outperforms this by far
He did that build a month ago...
And? Play the game and stop looking your Excel.
Great thing I came to a gs dagger video
cringe ppl on yt
Dagger is a meta right now. It's okay to follow the meta but then got nerf and leave the game? Or just play whatever you want and have fun with it.
