But the difference between those who believe & the majority of those who don’t is that those who believe have taken the time to read, study & question the Bible, it’s teachings & the historical records. Once you start delving into the Bible it becomes harder & harder to deny it. But too few bother, if we grow up in the west we just automatically assume we know it already since it’s so imperceptibly ingrained into our culture, but we really don’t. And then the scientific mindset insists it has all the answers, but it really doesn’t. The irony is both believers & non-believers are united by their capacity for faith: each choosing to believe the opposite of the other, neither with evidence to back them up.
And yes, I’m a believer 🙏💐

Interesting the young man wanted scriptural evidence...I was just reading Matthew New Testament, as I am reading through the Bible again...Couldn’t count how many times I have done this. But in Matthew 4: 10-14 where JESUS was being tested in the dessert by satan, and had finished that test and left. He had heard That John was in prison...It is describing which way he was traveling and I typed in to see exactly where this was on a map, and came to your site. Extremely interesting, and found some amazing facts about the history of the land. I have been to Israel twice my husband 3 times, and could honestly live there. It is beyond words...Thank you
Sheryl, glad you found the video helpful. By comparing the Gospel of John 4:1-3, with Matthew 4:12, these journeys that Jesus made from Judea to Galilee are the same. In this case, Jesus would have travelled on what has now been called the "Road of the Patriarchs", the water-shed hill country ridge route that travels north-south. Technically, Abraham would be known as the first Hebrew. Abraham's grandson was Jacob, who also was given the name Israel. So, all Israel's descendants (he had 12 sons, and at least one daughter) are Israelites. One of Israel's sons was Judah, who became a leading tribe, settled in the south-central part of the land.
From Judah descended the rightful king of all Israel (from the Judahite, David). But the kingdom split, with mainly Judah (some other tribes or portions mixing in) remained in the land until the exile to Babylon in c. BCE. "Jew" is a shortened form of Judah, so technically the "Jews" were those who descended from Judah. However, in modern terminology "Jew" has come to be associated with any Israelite, that is, from the tribe of Judah or who still preserved connection to the other 11 tribes descended from Israel.

Okay, let's differentiate between being grafted into God's family by sharing the same _faith_ as Abraham verses being a Jew _genetically_ by being related to Abraham through Isaac's bloodline. Do you agree with what Paul says in these verses:
