Brother Emanuel Matat your interview with the Peer Talks video channel was heartening news for all of us in Pakistan. I had also previously viewed your interview with another Pakistani gentleman. Pakistanis are very fond of visiting Jerusalem for paying homage to the Holy mosque Al-Aqsa & other holy places. No doubt Israel is considered a holy land for the Pakistanis. May Allah accord you greater longevity so that you may revisit your birthplace in Pakistan amen!

In 2019 when me and my wife went to Holy Land ( Israel). I drove to Beer Sheba where Abraham used to live. I wanted to find Abraham’s well there. I saw a man standing in front of a store. I went to him and asked if he could speak English. He responded “Thora thora” . I was surprised. Once he knew I was from Pakistan, he was so glad that he paid our lunch. I sincerely forced him not to pay, but he didn’t listen. He really was very happy to meet a Pakistani in Israel because he originally was from Karachi.

Very nice to hear such a candid talk from the Pakistani Jewish Gentleman. Such are the people that give the humanity a great hope to strive and thrive in peace. I am a Pakistani American, and have lived in NYC. I grew up in Kew Gardens area of Queens New York, where there is a good well settle Jewish Population, and a great thing about New York City is that people of all religions and races live side by side. And in New York Pakistanis live next to Orthodox Jewish Community. Not only in New York also in Chicago as well. Pakistani community in Devon Area of Chicago, is settled right next to Orthodox Jewish community, and both respect one another. My dad worked with PIA during 1990s, and PIA's office in the JFK Airport in New York was right next to Israel airlines El Al Airline office. A beautiful sight. I also had a good number of Jewish friends. When I newly arrived in New York as a teenager kid in 1990s, in my High School, there was a Jewish kid name Yosi. At first I thought he was from Pakistan, and I initiated friendship. He was actually from Israel, and he became one of my good High School friends. At University I had a good Jewish room mate named Isaac, from Kazakstan, and also another good Iranian Jewish friend. Good people are in every race and from every religion. We just have to adjust accordingly, and that is what real Islam teaches us, to respect one another, no matter what race or religion we are from. Prophet Muhammad SAW, respected and honored Jewish and Christian people and taught us to respect one another. That is real Islam. All religions teach respect, including Judaism, Christianity, Islam, etc.

I was equally saddened to hear that the Synagogue was demolished. I just wish that we restore the roots of our nation, founded by our Quaid, where everyone is welcome to practice their faith. In shaa allah one day will come, which is not too far - where all our brothers/sisters will return home. Ameen

I would strongly support and demand that Pakistani officials should renew Manu's passport so that he can visit his country whenever he wants. Others non deserving people from other countries got their Pakistani passport using different ways why a Pakistani born Pakistani can't his passport? There is no place for the discrimination for whatsoever.

After WW l and during WW ll British government have paid special attention towards Karachi. Since Karachi was a port city and getting importance in import of war related stuff and sending troops to battle fields in Middle East and other areas. Families all around the British India started to migrate here and settled down here. Those families were from all religions and sects like Indian Jews, Christians, Hindus, Sikhs, Parsi, Bohra, Memons and Urdu speaking from Bihar and Bengal. After partition of British India Karachi became capital of Pakistan and the life goes on without any particular differences between people of different religion and languages. Only Hindus and Sikhs were migrated to India and more Muslims around the Hindu majority India were reached here. But, it is very unfortunate that after war of 1967 between Arabs and Israel Jews were being treated with hate but there was no killings and looting. Jews were driven away from Karachi and went to Israel. It was very sad situation.

this is a new thing for me that there are some Jewish people belonging to pakistan.the gentleman being interviewed in the video is Pakistani by blood and he speaks our national language so nicely like other nationals of pakistan.at this it is natural for the nationals of Pakistan to feel sympathy for him.his words are showing a great love and affection for his homeland where his father and other elders lived their lives.according to the dictates of Islamic sharia, any non Muslim can live very peacefully in an Islamic state and all the Muslim nationals are duty bound to behave with him/her very politely to respect and honour his all fundamental rights.there is no such restriction at all in this regard.further this is the fundamental belief of all the divine religions that all the human beings are the children of the same heavenly couple known as Syedna hazrat Adam (Alia Salam )and hazrat eve (razi ullah Tala anha).according to mysticism all the people are like a family of God.the stance of Pakistan is that Israel should give the sovereignty to the people of Palestine and it should also stop to commit atrocities against them, then the state of Israel will be recognized by it.he is welcomed to pakistan.people of Pakistan are very loving and big hearted and they always like to care human rights.rana Muhammad sultan Khan manj advocate Taif city Saudia.

Peer sb, Amanuel bhai speaks so good urdu that tell him it looks like we have lost our own pakistani. Why he shifted there, as he had been born here and doing business here. Actually relations between Pakistan and Israel can never improve until liberation of Palestine. Right now Israel is killing our brothers and sisters in Palestine with cruelty which is not acceptable. Anyhow minorities in Pakistan have no problem.

Watching this video was an awesome experience. Pakistan lives in the hearts of all those, who leave Pakistan behind, regardless of religion.
I watched many videos/vlogs of Indian Hindu/Sikhs who left us, in 1947, returning to their ancestral homes/villages,about their experience.
I wonder if one member of those Jewish families who left us, who often quietly visit their graveyard in karachi, if they return to Pakistan, Karachi or any other city, and make a vlog, about how Pakistanis receive them now. Food for thought.

I respect his views, he has right to visit Pakistan. However, normalisation with Israel is not possible until the formation of sovereign state of Palestine, this is our ideological stance.

I moved from Pakistan to NYC, USA in 1976. On one of my trips back home to Karachi I came across the synagogue that he's talking about. I took some pictures to show my Jewish friends but unfortunately could not gain access inside. Next time I visited Pakistan I had decided to visit the synagogue and take some pictures of the inside for my friends in NYC but to my utter dismay discovered that the building had been demolished.

So sorry he had to leave the country. Must be nostalgic. Life is so strange. People become strangers ,not realizing we are all humans. The place of worship should NEVER be demolished.
