I remember escondido as a kid on the 50s, it was wonderful,grapes, Oranges,avocados. It was a small farming town. By the time I got out of high school, it was 4 times a big. By 1978 it was to big for me I checked out of the hotel California. Now it's just part of SanDiego all the town's Poway, Esco, San Marcos,Vista,Carlsbad, Oceanside, etc are 1town. Rancho Banardo was a winery I worked for. Now the Californians are leaving and moving to Oregon and Washington, and Idaho and turning it into little Calif.. time to go to Alaska. O yea where are you going to get water?

Yes Escondido was so different years ago
Actually, you can’t paddle board or bring your own boat to Dixon. You can only rent their boats.
