    Just brought a 99 and I’ve got to say I love it, it’s a fantastic bike that just inspires confidence all the way through the revs whilst still being practical

    This gen VFR has everything you need. Look how impressed he was with the digital dash - now we aren’t satisfied unless our bikes have fancy electronics packages. Shows how spoiled we’ve become over the years.

    • @martinivanov1319
      @martinivanov1319 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      i actually hate electronics both in cars and bikes. prefer simpler analog things

    • @Marques_239
      @Marques_239 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We didn't become spoiled, people don't complain about a bike not having fancy eletronics stuff.
      It's just that the industry standard has evolved, so when you pay full price for a new motorcycle, you expect to have the fancy shit included 😅

      @@jayflash2035 complain like "I dont wanna ride this bike" or like "this bike shouldn't cost 18k"
      In my opinion it's usually the later, the only thing I see people genuinely complain somewhat regularly is the lack of ABS

    I drove my VFR for 100.000 miles, fantastic bike. Then bought a Blackbird, but still miss the old Viffer.

    Bought the same 5th gen last summer. I absolutely love it. 40k, runs like a Swiss watch. Lovely sound, great handling, I personally love the brakes, they inspire confidence and plenty of power even two up.

    "630 miles back from the Bol d'Or"
    You know the v4 was howling & the French speed limits were fully disregarded.
    I miss the 90s

    People complain about the brakes,if you can do your own maintenance then you can bleed these just follow the procedure and do it it's not that hard. Love my 2001 and brakes are excellent.

    Had mine since new.. plated Oct2001. Blue... she's just ticked over 40K on the clock(not ridden much in the past 5yrs truth be known). Just recently had all the fluids flushed and replaced with any worn associated bits replaced due to old age. Standard condition and in great nick! Thinking of 2 options. 1- replace with a Beemer GS or 2. Maybe lash out and get it converted to 'standard' setup for a more upright seating position... the engine and body is solid but cant say the same for the owner! hehe.. The bike owes me nothing so no point getting rid of it...just the rego and a small insurance and thats about it. When it came out of storage recently I got my local bike shop to do the fluids stuff and a full front to back end overall checkup given the age of it. Other than some clamps, pipes, and a few seals and screws it wasnt a super cheap fix but it wasnt expensive either. All sorted and now all I do is make sure the battery is still fully charged and fire it up to move the oil around occasionally for the internal seals and clutch.. Still zaps like the day I bought it! nuf said! (a shame its owner is now about 20kilo heavier though hehehe... ) :)

    Loved mine, cracking bike, not fault free but glorious engine.
    ..... but so uncomfortable, poor riding position hurt my wrists and back and never got on with the brakes, moved onto a V Strom and 10 years later still got it. 😎

    I own BABY VEEFERS😂😂😂😂....2 of them....in india they were sold as hero honda karizma....first one i got new in 2003 ,it has a small fairing design of vfr 800 and headlight is quite like vfr's....the later version of karizma zmr 2010 model has full fairing....huge piece....again an official design copy of vfr 800...but headlight design is more like borrowed from suzuki gixxer...engine is 225 cc....again a design copy of CRF 230....but with 5 speed gearbox....u can check on net....but i own both....and yes these bike are baby veefers....i m so delighted wd their performance that i only imagine what an actual vfr 800 does.....
