Allowing the ICE to be connected directly to the CVT. Direct Drive CVT of sort. Efficiency will improve by 20%. Suzuki is almost there with its R06D mild hybrid engine that powers the Japanese wagonR. Out there it use a torque converter, given the Japanese refinement standards (AMT is abolished in Japan). Here in India we are so used to the AMT and so can easily adapt a direct drive powertrain. I'm hoping Maruti might introduce this technology in April when the CAFE2 RDE is mandated.
@@insvaibhav what I'm saying is that with the new 1.2 liter, 3 cylinder Z12 powerplant we are almost there. Provided Maruti Suzuki does not compromise on the mild hybrid ISG or CVT. Costs might be hard to absorb on the cars. So they need to start with the Brazza MPV. The Brazza with the 1.2 liter engine will immediately knock off 15% in taxes and might cost the same or lesser even after these features.

Well company is giving 8 years warranty on it as per some articles. So anything happens within warranty no need to spend a penny on it. But for later years, I assume it to be around 30-50 thousand as it's a small battery ( maybe 1kW or so). Well there is still no clear picture about battery.
