Hey! I watched a lot of "Solas/Lavellan" videos before I got to this one. Once I saw this one, I stopped looking because this perfectly captured (I feel like) the true nature of their relationship, executed damn near flawlessly--at least how it made me feel in my experience with it: acknowledge the pain and hurt but keep your priorities straight and your wits about you. I just wanted to let you know that it was *this video* that inspired me to figure out how to do this and make some of my own. My 'novice' shows quite a bit, but I'm having fun! So thank you for that! :D I have tons of footage and I'm not bored of it yet, so I hope they'll get better. lol If you're interested, in my latest one, I tried to take an original approach to explore the failed relationship from Solas' perspective (since I haven't seen one yet) with Cole meddling in the drama. Ultimately though, I just wanted to thank you for making this and sharing it and motivating me to join you all in the _"I-can't-seem-to-get-enough-Dragon-Age"_ club. lol

I'm so hecking glad I inspired you to make a video - that's exactly what I intended to do since others had done the same for me, and I'll check it out immediately!!

I think a cool story idea would be if our Character in DA4 is a survivor of an attack by Solas or his agents which could bring them into conflict with the inquisition

aah that's a shame! I actually think I still have screenshots of my first (unmodded) addy hanging around! but I'll definitely think about it, I'd have to revisit all my old mod folders! and definitely!! I'm hoping to make a second video over summer with an upgraded Adhlea, so we'll see how that goes!

I recorded everything with bandicam (temperamental, if i could find another software that doesn't crash all the time i'd recommend that), for a majority of scenes i recorded without the music so I could get clear dialogue, however I occasionally recorded with sound effects so I could get the crackling of the anchor, etc. For editing, I used final cut pro, but only the trial version since it's the video editor I feel most comfortable using! hope this helps, If you have any more questions feel free to ask! x

Aila Frost I sadly only play on my Xbox so I can't use mods 😭 but I'm sure there are people who would love that, so I think it would be cool to do - and heck, if I ever get to play it on a PC, I could come back!;)
aah that's a shame! I actually think I still have screenshots of my first (unmodded) addy hanging around! but I'll definitely think about it, I'd have to revisit all my old mod folders! and definitely!! I'm hoping to make a second video over summer with an upgraded Adhlea, so we'll see how that goes!

thank you thank you!!!! I recorded everything with bandicam (temperamental, if i could find another software that doesn't crash all the time i'd recommend that), for a majority of scenes i recorded without the music so I could get clear dialogue, however I occasionally recorded with sound effects so I could get the crackling of the anchor, etc. For editing, I used final cut pro, but only the trial version since it's the video editor I feel most comfortable using! hope this helps, If you have any more questions feel free to ask! x
I just finally got mine done after working on it for years lol I have a full time job and toddlers 🤣 I used snuff by slipknot. It turned out okay I guess… I need to upload it at some point . But this beautiful 😍
