    I left early yesterday and my son was disappointed because I wasn't able to train with him . I put your page up for him and told him to pick whatever he wants to do and work for about an hour and rest between drills . by the time I got home my wife told me he's been training all day and only came out for water lunch and bathroom breaks . So I asked him to show me what he learned . Unreal and I was amazed , he was now telling me not asking what to do and explaining why . His stance has improved 100% his punches have more snap , his range is perfect and I have never seen him use head movement like this while doing bag work . Turns out I was just in his way and he's a visual learner. Thanks for stepping in for me 😁 . I am very happy with your teaching style , it's kid friendly and very effective apparently . Was going to post yesterday but I took him out for dinner and we talked boxing , he now wants to compete ! My mind is blown.

    These boxing tutorials are real gems. I've been boxing for almost three years now. Without competing, but sparring every training. And yet, thanks to your videos I've seen many aspects of several boxing fundamentals which I can and will improve significantly. Great videos sir!

    As a new coach You have been amazing help, and really helped with me putting together a lesson plan, do you know any anti flinching drills also any good combo, I generally struggle coming up with 2 or 3 phase attacks

      Soon we will be posting some videos that may be of interest like some advanced drills and techniques.
      As for helping your students not flinch, i would recommend them using the speed bag ( we have a how to video on the channel) and you might want to have your students hold the focus mitts themselves so they can see the punches traveling towards them. (we have a how to hold the mitts tutorial as well)
      Both the speed bag and holding the mitts will have your students getting used to having something traveling towards their face while they are in a boxing stance. Everyone flinches in the beginning ...it's a natural reflex that must be unlearned... Reassure them that it takes practice and that in time they won't flinch at all

    I’m 6’4” I have a good sense of distance while throwing jabs and crosses but Im loosing the range when throwing hooks and uppercuts and it prevents me from throwing good combinations and I’m ending up throwing only 1-2s the whole time... any tips for me?

    • @fightyourwayfit
      @fightyourwayfit  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for commenting. The best advice will be to stick with what makes you feel most comfortable. You have the height and reach, use it. If you watch klitscko you’ll notice that he also does not throw too many hooks or uppercuts. He does not risk getting closer to his opponents to throw those shorter range shots. He remains very disciplined. He controls the distance and uses the jab and cross. Seems to have worked well for him.

    At 2:02 why pivot with the jab?
