    The amount of work just for those 3 seconds of animation is insane. Makes those full length animations you do all the more impressive. Thanks for sharing your process, I always love knowing how certain effects are done even if I never end up using them.

    Guys if I’m right that is not called animation it’s called tweening, tweening is using a drawing, separate individual part of the drawing and use the anchor point on each part to move the parts which makes movements also it includes parenting

    • @landberry
      @landberry  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Tweening is not the word for this specific animation but kind of a similar principle. Tweening is usually described in 2D animation when you draw the in-between frames between the main keyframes. So if you start with someone's hand down as the first keyframe, and the second one is their hand up -- the tweening would be animating the frames leading up to the hand raising.
      In After Effects, they use Keyframe Interpolation which does a similar thing where you can use two keyframes and it interpolates the rest. There's a bunch of stuff that differentiates it but people might be confused if you referred to this as tweening.

    Yes... I'm not good for this, I woke up motivated to try to animate a panel but I don't even know where to start. I really don't understand the After Effects interface at all, and that demotivates me. No tutorial really explains to me what the hell I'm doing or where things are or what they are for, I feel like I already have to know a lot of things to start a "basic tutorial". It's 3 AM and my motivation to keep trying to do something is gone. Sorry if I'm talking a lot, but this is a relief for me.
    But your video is well explained and I suppose you helped many here in the comments.
    P.s - Because all the tutorials cut the most important parts in editing, like where the necessary tool is or how to use a fucking camera (I still don't know how)

    • @landberry
      @landberry  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Sorry to hear you were having trouble. I'd recommend checking out my live stream playlist where it's pretty much raw footage of me editing so you can watch the workflow. But for specific stuff like cameras, there's so many TH-cam tutorials and stuff online, you can learn everything bit by bit. This tutorial was a super brief one and didn't go too specific.

    You rly work crazy fast man that's impressive. btw for the hair animation to make it so realistic I ssaw people use some sort of script do you do that or do you use the tool you used in this video, because it seems so hard to get good hair movement like that (not streching it to much, or having like irregular hair movement) or maybe it comes down to practice?

    • @landberry
      @landberry  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks a bunch!! :)
      For hair, I pretty much just use puppet and bend it. However, If you're looking to get into the complex hair movement stuff, check out this tutorial. I haven't gotten into using an expression for it yet but definitely looks to be in depth and helpful.
      (I feel like the best results comes from splitting all the hair into small separate pieces so the hair all bends naturally.)

    • @landberry
      @landberry  ปีที่แล้ว

      Duplicate the layer.
      So the first one will be a mask of the finger by itself.
      The second one will be one where you paint the finger off the face and it's just the clean face. The clone stamp tool, you click alt over a certain part of the image that you want to duplicate and you paint over it.

It's super trial and error so it's easier when you test it out but I'd recommend watching a tutorial on it.

      I agree partially. I do actually really enjoy coloring on AE since it allows me to work on that process later on after animation, etc. But the masking/clone stamping does take up a lot of AE memory so it is troublesome in some ways for bigger projects.
