    It's mind blowing to the skill, patience, time, effort, and steady handedness of what it must take when creating an awesome chassis like this one. Hopefully for the community a chassis like this will become the standard sooner rather than later.

      My hats off to you @GOTH-3Designs . It was a joy to watch you do this build and a real eye opener as to how much it really takes to build a top quality chassis like you did here.
      Seemingly it would take the nerves and steadiness of a surgeon or a Swiss watch maker to do what you did in this video. Keep up the fantastic art work and keep the educational videos coming !

    Wow...I am glad I had mine put together for me. With all the work I have that chassis would still be sitting unboxed on my desk.😆. I love that chassis in my Desert Wanderer.

    That's an incredible build. I just bought the empty hilt now, so I consider making this too in a few month, this video will be of a great help. By far the best looking, most detailed chassis on the market!
    Also, if I may, I highly recommand people considering to go for this craft to make all the electronic first to be 100% sure it works before the build (trust me, finding out that a brand new lcd screen is broken after hours of build is NOT fun), and to double, triple, quadruple-check everything at every stage before gluing it all, because you don't wanna find out that you f***ed up a solder on the led under the crystal when everything is finished.

    As much as I would like to build a chassis like this, my bad eyesight and clumsy fingers would never cooperate. I could never get a chassis of this quality built for me in Australia either. Your work is unparalleled. Don't suppose you would consider building one like this for my LGT Graflex? I have a generic LGT chassis with Proffie also. I could mail you the lot if you would consider it. Please reply with a quote if you are willing. Cheers.

    Amazing! Did I miss something when you soldered the positive and negative parts of the accent LEDs together at bout 18:46 and hid them away in the chassis, along with the data cables? How do those connect to the board?

    This is amazing! I have a question tho. Can this chassis also fit in the episode 4 version of this hilt?

    Hi!, I tried to buy your design for the rudy pando but it is only available to print in plastic, i want it in metal, is there any way to get it printed in metal?

  • @Ocupuc
    @Ocupuc 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Nice!
    What did you use for painting the plastic parts? I see metal mentioned in the instructions but not plastic.

    • @GOTH3Designs
      @GOTH3Designs  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      True that this wasn’t mentioned. The plastic is simply painted with aluminium spray paint and sanded a bit to look weathered.

    Les impressions 3D, c'est toi qui les réalises ou tu fais appel à un service d'impression ?

    • @GOTH3Designs
      @GOTH3Designs  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      La plupart des pièces sont en laiton, et sont produites par Shapeways 👍

      @sygnarius 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@GOTH3Designs merci, je ne trouvais plus le nom du site. Autre question, entre les pièces plastique et laiton, tu t'en sors pour quel prix ? (Si tu ne peux pas révéler cette information publiquement, envois moi un message privé. Si tu ne peux pas me répondre, je comprends).

    • @EmmanuelB
      @EmmanuelB ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@sygnarius Je ne sais pas si tu as déjà eu ta réponse, mais dans le doute : ça varie énormément. Toutes les pièces sont disponibles en plastique ou en métaux divers. En fonction du plastique choisi pour l'impression, ou du métal choisi et de sa finition, le prix peut avoir de grands écarts pour une même pièce, surtout pour les plus usinées. Par exemple, certaines pièces sont à $20 pour la version la moins chère et grimpent jusqu'à $100 pour la version en argent brossé.
      Pour avoir le même genre que dans la vidéo, tu peux tabler sur un bon $400. Pour une version entièrement en plastique, on doit en être à $250. Et tout ça bien sûr, c'est sans compter les tiges et tuyaux en laiton ou cuivre, et toute l'électronique, qui ajoutent un bon 160€. Et bien sûr, il faut avoir les outils nécessaires pour ce travail, sinon ça gonfle encore la facture.
      Bref, c'est un investissement pour passionnés, y a pas de doutes. Mais le résultat est splendide.

    What do you use to weather the metal parts? Blackening solution and something else to make them silver?
