I'm 58 and I remember the hell of vietnam. The protests not unlike today, the hatred for the boys who served, the men who came back broken shells of the men I once knew. I was 9 when it ended and my parents friends who fought n survived weren't recognisable on return. I never wanted to live that horror as an adult in my lifetime, sadly we are.

The PLO, who couldn’t defeat Israel militarily were masters at propaganda and convinced the International community of the alleged persecution of the Palestinians. In fact it was Arafat who created the construct of the Muslim Arabs as being Palestinians. He also supplied arms to the IRA and facilitated terrorist training camps for them during their campaign in the 70s, 80s & 90s. In essence, they question the legitimacy of the state of Israel & additionally see it today as a vassal state of the USA which is heavily influenced by the Jewish lobby.
