  • This is part 9 of the rebuild on my 1992 Honda Civic EG Hatch powered by a B18C out of DC2 Integra, along with a GTX3582R Turbo
    In this video I prime bumpers, fenders, bonnet and the engine bay. This is my first time using a air gun so if you have any tips or advice drop a comment! All advice appreciated!

    You know that part in the Peter Pan movie with Robin Williams when he’s sitting at the table with all the lost boys and he starts to imaginary play with them and they look at him with sparkles in their eyes and say you’re doing it Peter, you’re doing it? I feel that way when I see people work on their cars who aren’t professionals and posted on TH-cam. Nice job man you’re doing it.

    You should watch some automotive spray painting videos before attempting to do the next stage of this build, and follow the instructions on the paint regarding mixing!

    Looking good, and getting closer all the time! If you are new to painting, your distance and 75% overlapping looks good! Please promise you'll get some mask and safety gear, I know a guy that did this for career and is basically in dementia stages at middle age from all the fumes + chemicals :/

      Cheers mate and yea definitely will get a mask! Watching it back I was cringing seeing all the paint blowing back in my face! That’s so rough definitely will be getting a mask

      @@SJbuiltNZ I feel you, I've been painting outside in the cold (30-40 degree weather) and I know it's a pain, I also wear contacts plus glasses to keep out of the eyes, fastest place the body can absorb such chemicals.. Be safe and have fun, I've got the RSX down to hood/fenders/mirrors with my Hondata coming in most anytime to complete this project! (for now lol)

    What kind of compressor do you use for this? Im looking into repainting my car when the weather gets better

    • @SJbuiltNZ
      @SJbuiltNZ  29 วันที่ผ่านมา

      its just a cheap cheap compressor like 40litre tank with 180 litre per min. i dont think you need anything too fancy
