What would Kobe think about Kobe's wife not helping his mother and father in-law when he help her mother, his mother-in-law ( their kids grandmother and grandfather) ? There should never be that much hatred in the heart of anyone, especially the grandparents of your children. At first, I was like, his wife should give them money, but after finding out his dad played professionally in the NBA, lets me know they didn't spend their money wisely, if they are broken. They stuck gold twice! Which rarely happens. I would never sell nor would I continue to sell my son's memorabilia. I do believe the heart Kobe had and his entire upbringing he owes to his parents. I don't think he would let them struggle as elderly parents.
As far the parents not accepting his wife, I can understand. The dad had seen alot of guys in the NBA cheat and his son was young and didn't know the temptation he would be facing. They wanted him to sow his oats. Which he didn't do, and all he did was cheat on Vanessa, but she stayed. She didn't have a prenup she could have left anytime. She truly loved him.

So the tension, division was already established. Kobe didn't set up any trust for his parents while he was alive. A great division existed. Ms.Vanessa is most likely following Kobe's instructions if something happen to him. What world are many living in? Not every family is close and what you believe in someone else will have different actions based on their beliefs. People are quick to point their finger at someone and don't point it at themselves.
