  • At the end of August, we flew with Turkish Airlines from Vilnius to Bodrum via Istanbul. This video will be a review of the connection experience at the new Istanbul airport as well as the short, one-hour, Boeing 777 service from Istanbul to Bodrum-Milas airport. This video is a continuation from a first flight review, which covered the Turkish Airlines economy class, Boeing 737 MAX 8 experience, from Vilnius (Lithuania) to Istanbul.
In today’s video, we will first go over the experience of connecting at Istanbul airport, so please do skip ahead if you want to get to the actual flight review!

    Long haul: features short haul

This particular 777 has an older interior but keep in mind it's a 9 abreast interior compared to standard 10 abreast on other carriers. So it's older but still more comfortable even on longer flights

Do another trip report. They’re fun to watch and learn.

A wide body experience on a short haul flight sounds like it'd be comfortable alright. Especially with hardly no one on the plane. I'd put up with the IFE on that. Way better than the KLM flight from Schipol to Nairobi I was on in 2005. Aisle screens so you had no choice as to what movie to watch and in seat pre recorded radio that was only a fraction of the length of the flight so you listened to some things 2 or 3 times. The return flight IFE on Keyna Airways was probably to the standard of that Turkish flight except everything was new on that particular plane so it was far better than the outward journey.

❤By far this is the best airlines in the World when you consider all aspects of the experience. Food was delicious and service was superb leg room was satisfactory. Entertainment are plenty. And everyone in their life time they should see the Istanbul airport ( spare time to see it all ) you have to see it to believe it . And yes they use older planes for domestic flights . But international all the planes average age is 3 years

Turkish airlines newer 777s have a new ife which you would find on most new gen aircraft.

How did they have time for a meal service on a flight that was just an hour long

These are the same IFE systems found on some of Emirates's 777's. Old, unresponsive and dulll screens. I recently flew from Dubai - Warsaw and Frankfurt - Dubai with these screens, not the best I'd say.

I few from Sydney to Singapore on the Qantas A380 and the screen was worse then Turkish airlines old ife system, even more unresponsive and more frustrating than any other ife I've experienced.

Let truth be told, you are not the guy who boarded these flights and did the flight review. Your voice is that of a much matured man in his late 30s, or 40s. I can tell from the hands of the guy eating the sandwich, he has to be much younger.
