Ucja is so fucking gnarly!!!! and in between all the stout there's the stupid burn that is so ill suited to this type of whitewater and was just too small a boat for the weight range it was supposed to cover....you can see the boat struggle every second move. i'm glad those days of bad design are over! and i'm glad you made it out alive of that one. some strong paddling and cochones grandes in this video!
That lower Tolminka looks like a fun run, but also one with quite a bit of risk of tree strainers in there. Can you scout those places from shore before deciding to run it or only from the boat? We (some kayaking Slovenian friends of mine and I) had a look at it at lower levels but there were too many places where we felt that we couldn't get close enough to the gorge to see all the rapids and potential dangers below. The Ucja looks quite beefy at that water level. Very nice run too! Thank you for sharing, Andraž
You can't scout most of it, which is why it is very seldomly run. You can walk (more like canyoning) down the whole river in the winter though, to see what's in there...
@@AKrpic wow you did that without scouting? That's insane, especially considering all the trees that are in the uncleaned gorges of the soca. It makes this run all the more exceptional though. Really thinking about doing the Tolminka and Ucja, should I check in the winter before? What about the trees that might go when snow melt? Big respect for your balls of metal.
Sure, it would work, though I'd rather recommend something wih more volume, like Dagger's new Mamba or Nomad, or Wavesport's Habitat or the new Recon...
Goddammit!! You've got AMAZING natural beauty and SKILL enjoying it, and you have to toss VIDEO GAME MUSIC on top of it?!?? Fail. Otherwise, BEAUTIFUL rivers. Completely surreal/unworldly. Neat portage too. ;-)

Great safety. Textbook.
That's a great choice, especially if you're new to white water.
SICK !
Hvala Kiv, upam da ti kdaj uspe od blizu videti te odseke, ker so res čudiviti... tudi če si peš :)
Big Big Balls on the Ucja....done that with half of the water and carried out in the last thrid
Really nice edit! Been there once and watching this makes me want to go again.

Super video. A ste Andrejevo veslo na Učji je pa najbrž šlo pa pa ?
What is the black stuff washing around in the water?
Would a Dagger Zydeco 9.0 be a good kayak in a river like this?
Sure, it would work, though I'd rather recommend something wih more volume, like Dagger's new Mamba or Nomad, or Wavesport's Habitat or the new Recon...
What about a Wavesport Diesel 80?
and i was there :D but we had not so much water :/
