V.E. Schwab Recommendation!!! She is probably my favorite author. I am so happy that you finally got to experience her writing. Anyways… A Darker Shade of Magic! 🥰 This is my all time favorite trilogy! It has an Incredible magic system, unique world, on the tip of your seat adventure and battles, beautifully written villains, multiple POVs, and the series gets better with each book!
Addie Larue has been my favorite book since it came out, and I always said “these lines are so good I want to tattoo all of them on my body” and this year I finally got my Addie Larue tattoo. So glad you enjoyed the book! I loved her YA duology “This Savage Song” (1) and “Our Dark Duet” (2).
For V.E. Schwab (one of my FAV authors, if not my fav!) you should definitely read the Vicious duology. Vicious is one of my favorite books, and it's the perfect morally grey supervillain book and has such great character dynamics and vibes. Totally worth the read!!
YEEEEESSSSS!!!! I’m so happy you read The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue!! It’s sooooo good and beautiful and changed my life I swear. I also cried at the end LOL. But yah, I think the ending was perfect too even tho it was bittersweet.
i also read addie larue this month, and it also made me cry lol. the writing was so beautiful, it makes me happy to see another person who shares that love and also had to stare off into space to process their emotions 😂
I’m so happy one of the book girlies like Addie Larue as much as me !!! I’ve read it 4 times already and it literally changed my life, I feel like the words speak to my soul. And it’s a feeling I’ve been looking for in vain in every other books I’ve read.
6:55 any book from the A Murder Most Unladylike series - all of them include murders where two schoolgirls/best friends are the detectives! the books are SO FUN and they're all pretty much standalones :)
I think you’d really like the Truly Devious series by Maureen Johnson and The Naturals series by Jennifer Lynn Barnes! Both have a great cast of characters that are easy to connect with.
I enjoyed Legend. It’s dual POV of Day, a criminal accused of murder, and June, sister of the victim who’s out to avenge her brother’s death. They unknowingly cross paths and team up to discover the truth. I read it years ago, before I started rating my reads, but I probably would have given it 3.5/4 stars. Definitely worth the time for any YA dystopian fans.
Legend is SO GOOD and it definitely had its moment WAYYYY back on BookTok. It’s such a fun YA fantasy/dystopian kinda reminiscent of Shatter Me/Divergent/Red Queen/ the books of that era
Omg I always love Alis outfits and seeing her signature style. Also love that hollister dress at the end! Ps I totally relate and love when books take place where you live. Love Ali Hazlewood and I think in Checkmate the main character was from NJ if I'm not wrong and I felt so seen! ❤
You should totally read legend soon it’s a good romance dystopian that I think you’d really like! Also the invisible life of addie larue is so good! I’m so glad you picked it! It’s one of my favorite books ever!
I am loving The Thursday Murder Club series by Richard Osman. Lots of twists and turns and multiple mysteries! I’m starting book 3. The characters are so damn lovable! lol
so happy you finally read Schwab! based on your taste i would suggest This Savage Song duology but you can’t go wrong with Vicious and The Gallant 👀 cannot wait to see if you pick any of those up 🥰
I adore v.e schwab! the shades of magic trilogy is stunning. I also recommend the villains duology (dark academia) and the cassidy blake trilogy (middle grade paranormal).
I just ordered the special edition Addie LaRue, that book is amazing and I didn't know there was a special edition of the book available so thank you for showing us your copy in your video.
Hi Ali!Since you’re looking for a mistery Thriller kind of book where you can connect to the characters easily I would like to recommend you Five survive by the same author from the ggtm series.I really loved it ❤
I really enjoyed the vicious series by VE Schwab, its a duology so it's quick read but it was such a fun concept and I think it might be right up your alley
Inheritance Games had good characters. i loved xander and thea and rebecca were pretty interesting. defintely a mystery and so fun to figure out all the puzzles. if you haven't read it yet, defintely reccomend
I read The Invisible Life of Addie L'Rue and thought it was slow, so I gave it 3.5 stars but the fact is.. I do think about it from time to time.. and damn! It's such a beautiful story! 🥰
AHH EARLYY 🫶🏼 Ali I truly love your videos and your style is the cutest! you mean everything to me and you inspire me to read more and make videos about it
I have a few mystery’s you might like. I think you’d like Murder your employer by Rupert Holmes, Everyone in my Family Has Killed Someone by Benjamin Stevenson, Five survive By Holly Jackson, the reappearance of Rachel price by Holly Jackson, Hidden Pictures by Jason Rekulak, and How to Solve Your Own Murder by Kristen Perrin.
If you want to read more by V. E. Schwab I would say read the Darker Shades of Magic series, vicious and vengeful the villains series, this savage song and our dark duet the monsters of verity duology, or Gallant a spooky stand alone. Besides the Invisible life of Addie LaRue I’ve only ever read Gallant and her middle grade series City of Ghosts. Both are great books for all ages. I’m going to read her darker shades of magic series soon because the first book is my book clubs pick for this month.
The Near Witch by V. E. Schwab It's one of her older books... if not her first. I'm not sure honestly. But I think it's underrated. I never see anyone talking about it.
V.E. Schwab is my favorite author and Darker shade of magic is my favorite book from her. I will say if you read books only for romance you will not like this but if you love beautiful writing and characters that feel like real people and an exciting plot this is for you.
tbh I would recommend all the books by v.e. schwab (that I've read so far) 'The near witch' her debut novel and one of her more underrated works. Gallant Vicious This savage song and Our dark duet The shades of magic series
What season does The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue take place in? Or what season vibe does it give? I love matching my read to the season, and I would love to read that
I've read aggtm in januari 2022 and been on the search to find something similar and I have found one! ''The agathas'' by kathleen glasgow and liz lawson (ps kathleen also has written girl in pieces iyky) there Is also a sequel but I have yet to read that one but I would definitely recommand it
Nahhh i was so excited when i saw legend but then she didn't pick it😭 it totally was an og booktok book. I loved it though it isn't even my favorite by this author. For most people this is their favorite tho. It's a dystopian btw

This is my all time favorite trilogy! It has an Incredible magic system, unique world, on the tip of your seat adventure and battles, beautifully written villains, multiple POVs, and the series gets better with each book!
I second this! I LOVE the two main romances and the slow burn is impeccable.
I agree I love A Darker Shade of Magic trilogy.
I dnfed the first book at the 50% mark because I was so bored, does it get better? I might pick it up again
These two duologies are the best!
I just remembered the second one is Monsters of Verity
So so good

I love this idea. I have done this idea before throughout the month because I am such a mood reader. Happy reading!
For V.E. Schwab (one of my FAV authors, if not my fav!) you should definitely read the Vicious duology. Vicious is one of my favorite books, and it's the perfect morally grey supervillain book and has such great character dynamics and vibes. Totally worth the read!!
these books are amazing
YEEEEESSSSS!!!! I’m so happy you read The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue!! It’s sooooo good and beautiful and changed my life I swear. I also cried at the end LOL. But yah, I think the ending was perfect too even tho it was bittersweet.

Girl Addie LaRue was sooo good. It definitely had a lull for a bit but worth pushing through. The tears I had at the end...😭
6:55 any book from the A Murder Most Unladylike series - all of them include murders where two schoolgirls/best friends are the detectives! the books are SO FUN and they're all pretty much standalones :)

V.E Schwab recommendation- Gallant, I loved it and it’s a standalone if you didn’t want to start another series
its kinda crazy how nobody is talking about the forbidden eBook Magnetic Aura from Borlest

Have you read diary of a dying girl, yet? I would love to hear your thoughts on it! I need to buy it still!
Addie Larue is so good 🥹
If you want to read more by V. E. Schwab I would say read the Darker Shades of Magic series, vicious and vengeful the villains series, this savage song and our dark duet the monsters of verity duology, or Gallant a spooky stand alone. 'The near witch' her debut novel and one of her more underrated works.
Gallant
Vicious
This savage song and Our dark duet
The shades of magic series
What season does The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue take place in? Or what season vibe does it give? I love matching my read to the season, and I would love to read that
And Destiny Sidwell moved to your town, as well!
Try reading a Stephen King novel, Misery is a good one :)
What do you use on your eyebrows? As a redhead I'm searching for what to use...
I've read aggtm in januari 2022 and been on the search to find something similar and I have found one! ''The agathas'' by kathleen glasgow and liz lawson (ps kathleen also has written girl in pieces iyky) there Is also a sequel but I have yet to read that one but I would definitely recommand it
Have you read the sequel to Fourth Wing? It's Iron Flame :)

Viscious by V.E. Schwab is a really good and interesting book, recommend!
Murder most unladylike like ❤❤❤❤
I normaly read a book a month but these books take aboute a week so you could read them in 1 day
Girlies, I need help!! I read the dark verse series by Runyx, and i want more😭😭
I love Legend, but it’s def more a 2012 dystopian than booktok book (in legue with hunger games, matched, divergent, the uglies, ect)
The invisible life of Addie Larue is probably the only book that made me cry like a baby.
Some good mysteries are
The inheritance games
The naturals
The girls I’ve been
And addie la rue 😭🫶🏻 she is beautiful
