True story. The day Oasis hit their first number one they played Belfast. Sat with Liam in the secret “Bob Marley” suite 😉 listened to him for an hour along with the other engineers (weed sorted him out earlier). Solid lad who adored his older brother but only understood 50% of the conversation but still a good lad all the same. Good memories

I loved Stone Roses and Ride but I came to appreciate Oasis later on when it wasn't being forced upon me. Just fantastic songwriters but always felt they weren't particularly about musicianship. There's a simplicity and directness that is undeniably brilliant and can't be overstated. I prefer his solo stuff to Noel's I must say which seems more fanciful and frilly.
I think John lead the way at the start of their career but watching Reni play in the later years was friggin awesome. You can see at some concerts even John watching him in awe while jamming away together.
Awesome combination, I got goosebumps and when that happens, it´s a HIT! My prediction is that this song for sure and possibly the combination of Mr. Squire and Mr. Gallager gonna be a smashing hit 👍🤘
I know nothing technical about music but I know what I love in terms of genre and these two together is my heaven! What a brilliant and interesting review x
That first Stone Roses album was such a banger. Amazing band, but sadly they never did recapture that magic. This track actually gives me some Rain (by the Beatles) vibes.
Brilliant analysis as ever JH. Verse reminded me of Stereophonics Just Looking. Loving the 90s indie vibe here. Did you see the Sheds have the #1 UK album? 🎉
I’m happy other people like it. People around me seem to be slagging it off. The colour list in the lyrics in particular. The first vocal reminds me of Norwegian Wood.. iiiiiiiiiiiii.. once had a girl
I like the tune apart from the bit where Liam lists the colours of the Rainbow which reminds me of the kids "i can see a rainbow" song. Nevertheless, a world where legendary Roses guitarist John Squire, and former Oasis frontman Liam G team up is a better world. It reminds me of all sorts of things. The Stones, The Beatles, The Roses and Oasis rolled into one. Looking forward to hearing more of their collaborations. Peace & Love ❤
Justin sang the colours in the tune of that song. He just got the “olive” wrong, as it’s “purple and orange and blue”. Why is a 50 year old memory so accessible? It must be because it’s a musical memory.
Oh thanks for reviewing. I was curious because when I listened to it, I liked both Liam and John’s parts, but they sound to me like two different things put close by without a liaison, like they forgot to harmonise them. For example This is for You, the song you featured for the Classless Act, fits and melts better their part and your solo, in the mosaic of the whole. I liked this song but, using a metaphor, it makes me the same impression of a piece of iron that pretends to be a ring on a free finger. They look together but they aren’t.

There's a simplicity and directness that is undeniably brilliant and can't be overstated. I prefer his solo stuff to Noel's I must say which seems more fanciful and frilly.
See him live and it will change your mind
Never liked Oasis........they're a couple of plebs that write pleb rock for the plebs that hang out in pleb town.
I think John lead the way at the start of their career but watching Reni play in the later years was friggin awesome. You can see at some concerts even John watching him in awe while jamming away together.
liam has based his whole musical career on the beatle track rain.. very evident on this one too.
Awesome combination, I got goosebumps and when that happens, it´s a HIT!
My prediction is that this song for sure and possibly the combination of Mr. Squire and Mr. Gallager gonna be a smashing hit 👍🤘
I hear a lot of She’s Like a Rainbow by the Rolling Stones in the Just Another Rainbow track. I hope it’s meant to be an homage.
I saw them live and they were the worst band I’ve ever seen. The singer opened up saying we were “lucky to be witnessing greatness.”
@@RossLeesonIan brown can not sing live to save his life.
Liam is a far superior vocalist.
... and, as we all know, Oasis were known as Rain, named after the Beatles Song, before Noel joined. It's all coming full circle.
OMG! It’s like we’ve been transported to a 1990s Mtv 120 minutes buzz cut! Pretty cool man, pretty cool.
It's got a real feel of the Second Coming...
So glad I finally have a moment to watch this!
So much love to you Mr Hawkins ❤️
I still haven't learned who's who between Liam and Noel.
That solo is fantastic. I've never been that much of an indie fan (metalhead), but I always love a good guitar solo.
I think the drummer was very central to the roses' sound also
yep. Reni is amazing. his playing and harmonies. How he managed to harmonize with Brown who had intonation issues is impressive.
You saw what happened when they moved away from songs centred around reni and manis grooves….
@bw6316 i like the 2nd album, its heavy but yeh mani and reni are buried under the guitars abit
Justin it's great to hear a great guitarist like yourself getting a little excited over squires playing. Top work mate
You're an amazing guitar player yourself
Thank you properly yes figure out song with tab
Brilliant analysis as ever JH. Verse reminded me of Stereophonics Just Looking. Loving the 90s indie vibe here. Did you see the Sheds have the #1 UK album? 🎉
Check out Donovan's Barabajagal - probably Jimmy Page sounding like Jeff Beck
Came to write this.
I really enjoyed the new LG & JS collab its grown on me, its not what I expected but has grown on me.
BOTH ARE A MASSIVE INSPIRATION AND INFLUENCE IN OUR BAND
@@Goonies1985neversaydie thanks we appreciate your support ;)
@@Goonies1985neversaydie cheers mate 😉
Not as much uppercase apparently.🥴
Love your videos Justin. Great to see how much fun you have doing them. Thank you.
Liam basically just wears a tent at this stage 😂
Good to see you back mate. All the best for the new year
I can't decide if you're experimenting with hair gel, or just damp.
Recent shower hair looks like to me 🙂
@@MariaFrancesca I think you're probably right!
As he’s in the UK, there’s a chance that he’s just been outside… 🌧️🌧️🌧️ …stupid British weather 😒
@@NinStardust You've got rain, we've got snow 🙂
This channel is personality, music education, and therapy session in one. A must watch.
Brian jonestown massacre! They have some legit great songs, and Anton is a funny guy.
What a great watch. Thanks Justin. Brilliant.
What can go wrong with Liam Gallagher and John Squire? 😊
Actually a real good song latter Beatles feel along with Stone Roses as well
Haven't seen ya for months, as JHRA hasn't showed in my YT feed.
Good to see ya, mate.
Miss hearing your intro tune.😃🎸
514,000🎉🎉🎉
And it’s got (Little) Barrie Cadogan on bass (at least in the video)… Himself a beast of a guitar player.
Second Coming ..is basically a John Squire solo from track 2-the end .😮😊
Liam has been putting out consistent solo material for the last decade, this is no exception!
Let’s be honest, his solo stuff is bang average
If he wasn’t Liam Gallagher, it wouldn’t get any recognition at all…it just doesn’t stand up
Squire uses that same Stonsey lick on Love is the Law in the extended version. He's lifting from himself at this point!
It has a "Gas Panic" and "Who feels love" vibe
Thank you Justin hands down, the best channel on TH-cam.
