I was able to watch this rescue live. Dr. Sharpe and his team are so dedicated to the eagles in their area and will do whatever it takes to assist their charges. I was thrilled to see the eaglet back at the nest and to hear the parents overhead.
Lady hawk, I watched this live! What an amazing rescue. Dr. Sharpe and his crew seemed fearless and were on a mission. This sweet little baby is back in the nest resting currently and waiting on mom or dad. Thanks for the recap. UPDATE: Mom and dad have returned with fish. Baby is being well fed and resting peacefully. ❤️
Thank You God for answering our prayers and watching over this eaglet overnight. And thank God for people like Dr. Sharpe and his team for their actions.
Thank you Lady Hawk! I must say this little chick crossed my mind many times in the past 18 hours or so! So thankful they were able to rescue this baby! Would have been such a tragedy if they wouldn't have been able to! And fixed the guardrails better to boot!
I'm really beginning to dislike these cliff nests 😔. Thank goodness we've a safe, and healthy retrieval 🙏🦅💕 Apparently, a bit of a rock climber as well! Was all that chatter from the eaglet... Mom, dad? The building up of those rails was icing on the nest!!
I love how The team rescued the baby eaglet! Thank God everyone is safe. Did you see how the baby was looking at Dr. Sharpe? Its eaglet eyes were fixated on Dr. Sharpe. Maybe thinking "That my human Dad!" Wow! The new rails are awesome. I can't wait to see the Eagle family reunion! You guys are awesome
Dear Lady Hawk, so happy they were able to save this eaglet. But wanted to report that here in Colorado we lost 2 baby eaglets at the Standley lake nest. Wildlife officials don't know why, they were a week old, then suddenly deceased. The officials are trying to find the remains to do necropsies but have not found them. So very sad when the eagle community loses these precious babies. My heart sank. Prayers to all of Gods creatures.
I am so sorry to hear that Cris! I wonder if it was avian flu? So many birds are dying from it all over the country. My heart goes out to the parents and all those watching the nest!
Your the best lady hawk thanks!😉 & thank you Dr Sharp & team you are an eagle hero!!! In the last 10 days you have saved thunders baby & thunders sibling 😘 this eagle family loves you for what you have done for them. This one rescue was a stressful one & close call. Sweet baby held on it was so brave!!! 💕🙏🐥😘💖 Dr.Sharpe you are a 💎 Diamond in the rough!😍

Visions of this baby being the Eaglet equivalent of Homer Simpson where he keeps falling down the side of a cliff face. lol Duh!! But seriously, thank god you managed to rescue him in time and get him back into that nest. lol
Really a miracle of sorts with everything coming together - the eaglet hanging on for hours, the weather, Dr. Sharpe and his team getting there in time and no injuries from the fall. Loved the photobomb by Sharpe, what a devoted man he is to the conservation of the eagles out there in the Channel Islands. Definitely donating to this organization for their work and the rescues they do. ❤️🦅❤️
Thank you, thank you, Lady Hawk for the blessed news! This is a wonderful answer to many many prayers. I'm so happy for this family of feathered friends! TC LH, and thanks again. Have an awesome evening.
SO happy to see this video! The eaglet was the first thing I thought of when I awoke this morning. Thanks to the team and to you, Lady Hawk. It’s amazing how important these (and other) birds have become to so many of us.
Here in Los Angeles, they aired the rescue on the afternoon news. Thank you to Dr. Sharpe and his team for the work they do. What a strong little eaglet to hold on all night the way he/she did. The look on it's face when Dr. Sharpe lowered it in it's nest just says it all.
So thankful that Dr Sharpe and his crew could save this baby. I wonder what that little eaglet is thinking, first falling from the nest, sleeping alone and then people come and put it safely back in its nest.
In watching the video again, when dr sharpe gets the chick from the spot on the cliff, I can see where the chick landed. Looks like the chick was on some sort of flat ledge and I think that’s why it was able to remain where it was and sleep overnight. Such a lucky chick🤞!
