For my pistols, I have a minimum of two and a maximum of seventeen per pistol. I have an average of five magazines per pistol. For my rifles, I have a minimum of seven magazines per rifle. For my revolvers, I carry a minimum of three speedloaders per revolver.
5 mags for firearms I intend for mostly range use. If it’s a firearm I intend to carry or rely on for self defense, then I double it to 10 mags. Of course for the really common firearms like AR-15’s it reaches the point where I lose count and just say I have a .50-caliber ammo can or two filled with the dang things.
The more the better ! ... I Carry on my chest rig (6) 7.62X39 (30 rounders) FOR MY AR two Glock (15+1) for my Glock 27 and (4) 10 rounders also for the Glock 27..... And two molly bags with an additional 100 rounds of 7.62x39 in each...
Is "molly bags" code for 100 round magazines? Because IF you actually NEED those - I don't think you'll have time to load them. I'd go ahead and load them into more mags to keep in the car or bag or closet (or maybe in each place).
Gotcha, feel you there...hence the geeky nerd name lol. Been on youtube personally for a bit, but just started creating content...always wanted to give it a swing and said why not; whats the harm of one more hobby, lol.
@@TheGeekyNerd it take a lot of time. I just got a temporary promotion running the southern half of the state of Minnesota for my company and that keeps me super busy
Hear you there, congratulations on that, hope it stays permanent! Ive been cranking the hours non-stop due to the new WFH workforce. Both a blessing and a curse to work in IT during this time, lol.
The 308 pmags went up to $100 in 2012 i picked up an extra 5 just incase November goes south i have an ar10 and a mossberg mvp that uses the the mvp is a great suppressor host
Better to be safe than sorry, especially since they can always be used and dont go down in value. Is your MVP one with the spiral fluted bolt...always like the looks of those.
@@TheGeekyNerd ya i work at a shop part time as a second job one day a week they had the model on discontinued at our distributors for $400 with a 2 to 7 vortex scope couldn't pass it up.
@@TheGeekyNerd nice review on the AR earlier you should take a look at the Ruger Ranch 7.62 x39 bolt action that uses the mini 30 mags my boss has one at the shop it works really well with his suppressor might be a nice add on to your collection does well with suppressed 7.62x39
Thank you very much and I actually have the CZ 527 in 7.62x39 that is my bolt gun for AK's food. Use that for suppressor use and is a dream, but basically the same as the Ruger...guess great minds think alike huh? :)
I like the idea of just picking up a mag every time you hit the range. In my case wife already knows I'm headed there to burn some money. Might as well add in extra $30 bucks for a Glock mag and support a local business.
10 per weapon. Flat nice number.

Sounds like a solid plan.

Well thats one unit of measure, lol...just a 50 cal can per mag type.

Nothing I don’t agree with in this comment. 110% true and perfect idea.
