In this part, we take a look at what a VCA & envelope follower is and how they work - where we can modulate amplitude, modulate modulation, use a drum loop to create a locked in rhythm bass sound or even auto-wah effects.
And of course, as always - we take a look at how each circuit works behind the panel itself.

I recently made up an envelope follower and I gave it an amplifying attenuverter on the output, so it can do between +-2x the actual envelope voltages. It's quite useful that way. Actually I made 2 of them on one pcb with a gate extractor too, which gives a gate whenever the follower goes up, so you can then trigger something else based on original the envelope...
That's such a neat idea! I should have added more features now! Hahaha
Got to get yourself some knobs for those pots.

The ones on there are some I have from my late grandfather; but tackling the rest of the pots is a job for another time!
