Thank you so much. Overall vibe at Cascades is very friendly with everyone pretty chill and having fun. I really enjoyed it. I can tell that the staff are all very nice as well.
For sure. Wish you the best as you settle here in Vancouver. Aside from the cost of living part, it's really a beautiful city. Got a few options for poker as well =)
Good thought process. I feel the pain of the AKs vs. AA. You can't get away in position with that strong of a hand unless it is like Greg's character Old Man that only every raises with AA or KK. I had a similar situation last week with AKs. Even if I would have just flatted his 3-bet preflop I would have had to shove with gutshot and nut flush draws. Coolers happen.
Nice vlog! Zoran shared your vid with me - ship him the referral bonus 😂 I'm currently in ON but hope to play in BC soon. Until then I have subbed and will continue to watch your content!
You should never give up AK preflop unless you have a very specific read on your opponent. Your hand alone blocks Aces and Kings, plus the potential flush equity. Once you flop AK, the chance of your opponent has either will be even less, let alone having 2 at the same time.
Yep AK does block aces and kings. In fact AK suited is actually more rare than pocket aces 😂. A lot of what you mentioned is why I couldn't get away ultimately. However, in 1/3 games here three bet ranges are so narrow and 4 bet ranges are often non existent, so AK can be folding preflop sometimes in these games. In bigger and deeper games I'd mostly agree with you.
Not allowed. And I'm paying the price for it now. th-cam.com/video/RpExOhh5QYw/w-d-xo.html Also, the casino in Coquitlam is not called Hard Rock anymore. It was renamed to Great Canadian Casino.
I think your play with AK suited was fine. You could have folded preflop and let him take blinds only. But you had a premium hand, so calling was also good. You flopped top two pair, which would put you ahead in the majority of these situations. Two aces and two kings were accounted for, which would have made me conclude it was unlikely the opponent had either of those pocket pairs. Unfortunately, he actually did have the remaining two aces. I think in the majority of situations, the way you played it would have had you taking the pot, which is more important than the few instances, like this one, where you wouldn't.
@KeevinPokerVlog ahhhh shit I got the 1 year ban too man! Cascades is probably one of the worst poker rooms in the lowermainland. What's your home room u play at?? Maybe see you around sometime man. I play a little live here and there
You can’t fold the AKs preflop Unless it’s a player you are just certain has aces and wouldn’t do the same with kings or queens. I snap folded AKs face up yesterday to a limp re raise by an older player yesterday. I said out loud “that play is only ever aces” and folded face up. The villain cockily tabled his aces and took the pot. He didn’t even realize he’d just been owned. lol. In this scenario once you flop top two it’s just a cooler, you’re going broke, even though you lose to the only two hands he can have.
Yea I've been thinking about this one and I agree with you - just gotta take the cooler. Also I maybe could have gotten away if the opponent was a bit older and had a cup of coffee in his hands =)
I love your vlogs Keevin, when your video comes I have to watch right away. I was at that casino in July of this year, it is a nice place.
Thank you so much.

Great meeting and swapping some chips with you. Great content, keep up the good work man. Come see us at Cascades more often.

Thanks, yes decent poker scene for sure.

Nice call with AK on the jjj board. That’s a tough one.
Yea I tanked for quite a long time. I was mentally prepared to look very dumb if he turned over a jack =)
Hey bro, keep up the vlogging BC casinos make it hard for you to do so. I enjoy watching your rundowns keep it up
Nice vlog, keep it up…hope to play with you sometime in the very near future.
See you at the tables =)
Do you tip the dealer?

Yep. Just gotta take the coolers that will inevitably happen. Silver lining is that for this hand the opponent didn't have much behind.

Thanks man. Will definitely get Zoran a drink the next time I see him =). Hope we can all play together sometime!
9:35 AKs, there is not much you can do. Classic cooler...just pay him offend BE HAPPY he had super short stack.
what is the rake in this game?
I believe here it's 10% capped at $9. Then another $2 for promos.
@@KeevinPokerVlog WOW...real tough to beat if game is tame.
Yup that's pretty standard here. 1/3 is a tough game for sure.
awesome video dude!
dont listen to the haters man keep putting your music in the videos
I haven't been in Langley in years....but I'm sure it's still a calling station.
Sounds about right.
They allow filming ?
They do not. And I found out the hard way.

I like the vlog but the music is way too depressing and distracting

the music is GREAAAT!!!!!!!
Thank you that means a lot.
Wp dude. That AK v AA was painful...
Unfortunately gotta live with the fact that pain is part of poker =)
I didn’t know they allowed filming there , I know the hard rock does . I haven’t played poker in Langley in forever

What’s with music bro…
It's free to use.
No chance getting away pre flop on those tables.
Don’t need the music. 😁
As a Kevin I disagree with this music in the background 😂❤
You are definitely not alone. Hope you enjoyed the other stuff =)
Hard to fold ak suited pre flop
I know right!!
