The Sea Monkeys on Mars was first released in the year 2000, one year after the Sea-Moneys Magic Castle. It's one of the most popular tank designs. In this video I show how to set up the tank and talk about its design history.

I never looked for Sea Monkeys, no one that I knew had them, probably because they could be a bit expensive in my country, this channel has make me DESIRE to learn more and gobble up every part of it's story, I just love them now. So thank you, thank you from showing me this wonderful world.

God sea monkeys had such a good aesthetic to them. It was honestly kinda the whole point. Brine shrimp are cool if you like brine shrimp. But they did such an amazing job hyping those little guys up that everyone always ends up at least a little curious.

I would love to have a Sea Monkeys on Mars kit. I just got into raising Sea Monkeys and this would be a fantastic kit to have! I love to watch your videos because I like to see the older kits that the Sea Monkey brand has released over the years. Thank you for spending so much money just so that we can experience the feeling of opening and raising the older kits.
I've been a fan of Sea-Monkeys for years and it always bothered me how there was very little video content online about the older tanks. They're all so expensive and hard to find now that I figured making these videos was the best way for people to experience them :) I'm glad you're enjoying them, and good luck for the giveaway!

I’ve been watching been watching your sea monkey videos lately for the past few weeks to a point where I decided to spend a bit of my hard earned cash to invest in a sea monkey on Mars tank of my own! Thanks to you and your detailed tips my tiny colony is happy and thriving . Although my sea monkeys are not as big right now as I anticipated, I’m glad that at least they were successful enough to hatch and grow unlike the sea monkey tank I had before which ultimately failed a few days after. Anyways thank you for the interesting content you post and I’m looking forward to the growth of your channel and the others alike.

Everyone laughs at me for loving sea monkeys 😂 but they are truly the best hobby getting into fish. I have my mars kit growing strong 2 years now. Thank you for helping me getting into this hobby

Just ordered this... Had seamonkeys as a child and I had a colony survive almost 2 years. I still remember using the mail in service at the sea monkey website and getting all the specialized packets in the mail, which even as a kid I thought was a gimmick but I was willing to throw away my mowing money at the time and it turns out the stuff did as advertised. #LongLiveCarlTheSeaMonkey

They’re definitely marked for kids but most people who really get into the hobby are adults lol feel free to come embrace your new obsession

It's great seeing cool content like this for a hobby I have always been into since I was a kid. I just recently got back into the hobby and have to say the Mars tank is on my list. I'm also a photographer like you and definitely would like to see more of your artic photography as well. Let us know if you ever start a separate chanel or Instagram for it. Keep being awesome and thanks for the great videos. It's nice seeing this hobby getting popular again.

I would always see the kits at the store as a kid but never got one and now at 18 years old i finally know that its3 not a fraud because of your videos haha. They actually come alive and thats amazing to me!

Another wonderful video! I had no idea this tank had so many variations over the years; I think i like the second variant the most, the box art is gorgeous and the paint job on the tank is also the best looking, in my opinion
Yeah I definitely agree. I’ve never seen the first version in person, but the paintwork on the second looks the best
im so glad i found this channel bc i had sea monkeys as a kid and while i thought they were cool, i didnt fully appreciate them (i dont even remember the fate of the tank i had) but now as an adult i am so fascinated that ive watched the entire tank review playlist and now im actively restraining myself from throwing myself into this hyperfixation and impulsively spending hundreds of dollars investing in *all* the accessories for two tanks (the main and the nursery for juveniles)
im forcing myself to start small with just one tank without any accessories, and investing more if i feel like i can keep the commitment. i havent bought any kits yet, but i think i’ll go with the mars set since the top is accessory friendly and it comes with an aqua leash, and if/when i get a nursery tank itll be a magiquarium since the top is also accessory friendly and i’ll already have had an aqua leash with which to move the babies!
Update: ended up getting an ocean volcano, with a mini reptile tank heater and portable, chargeable air pump. i placed an order on the official sea monkeys site for an aqua leash and a packet 2 so that i can set up a 6 ounce nursery tank in a drinking glass until i feel like ive committed enough to the hobby to justify buying a second tank and accessories

Mars and Magiquarium are My favorites! i have a friend who had the Mars one without the painted chemical rivers, thats how i got exposed to sea monkeys, so i have a soft spot for it, Even tho the bottleneck styles of tanks have issues it's perfect to see the Tank slowly grow vegetation from algae as they get older, colonizing mars
I’ll be doing a review of the Magiquarium tank next year :D I love seeing really old mars tanks that have gone super green too, it’s almost like they get terraformed by algae 🌱

Just bought a Sea monkey tank for my class- they love watching them grow!
That’s really cool! They’re such a great educational tool for children. It’s quite common for young biology students to do experiments with brine shrimp by changing their water parameters to see how it effects hatch rates / growth

I’ve always failed at raising brine shrimp - both as a child and adult, trying to get some live food for my three aquariums. The kitsch, science, and whimsy of these sets is something I will always love and I truly appreciate the artwork you share. Maybe I will pick one up and try again!

I love that these tanks are nostalgic for some people and that they’re still also sold today. Usually the older tanks are so hard to find 😅
At first I thought sea monkeys as just a food source for a fish but as soon as I begun watching your videos I learnt that these are not just any fish food but are very mysterious creatures and also cute ones so I'm hoping that you can continue to upload more about sea monkeys

I'm in the processes of researching brine shrimp and cherry shrimps as I am wanting to build my own 1 gallon aquarium and happen to come across your channel. I binged watch most of your videos over the last few days and I will have to say that your Sea Monkey videos are amazing! So thoughtfully put together, high quality and well informative. I'm obsessed! I remember as a kid I had a failed Sea Monkey kit, but maybe I might give brine shrimp a try again.
Seamonkies are epic! I have never been introduced to them as a kid since we don't have them here but recently found some plain looking mini tank with 'sea dragons'. It's super fun to keep them and I learned so much about them from your channel!
