As one of the most affluent neighborhoods in Seoul, along with Banpo-dong and Apgujeong-dong, it has also recorded the most expensive neighborhood in South Korea. Yeouido apartments also hold the record for the most expensive apartment in South Korea, more expensive than Apgujeong-dong. It is one of the representative affluent neighborhoods in Seoul, and it has contributed the most to the increase in the average land price in Yeongdeungpo-gu. Starting from Yeouido Park, the area toward the National Assembly building is called West Yeouido, and the area toward the 63 Building is called East Yeouido. It is one of the most affluent neighborhoods in Seoul, and is considered to be an area similar to Gangnam-gu and Seocho-gu, along with some affluent neighborhoods in Yongsan-gu such as Dongbuichon-dong and Hannam-dong.
It is called one of the representative affluent neighborhoods in all areas including housing prices, resident income, and property. Although it is an old neighborhood, it has many large-scale apartments because it was developed as a wealthy neighborhood from the time it was first developed in the 1970s.
