- Here it is, our last and final day along the Gibb River Road.
This week we visit Barnett river gorge and spend the night camped on the Pentecost. We hope you enjoyed our time along the Gibb as much as we did. We had heard a lot of bad feedback this year about the road being extremely rough and the gorges having no water in them. Its fair to say we are glad we didn't take anyones advice but our own in doing it. It was definitely a huge highlight from our Big Lap. If you plan a trip like this just make sure you drive to the conditions, deflate your tyres and take the good with the bad.
Here is the link to our Patreon Page. As we said we have a huge 2020 planned but need your help and support to be able to do it all

I'll buy some olt budgie smugglers if that means we won't see Matt wearing them again 😂
haha but who will promote them if he doesn't wear them? hahaha
You guys are nailing the art of vlog production!
Thanks Shane, appreciate that!
Thanks for the red roads chair recommendation. They arrived yesterday and have been great so far. Really well constructed and so compact. Great addition to our gear👍
Great to hear & thanks for letting us know Mark :)
Just living the dream !!! if your going to display the fishing tackle,, then leopard print`s the way to go mate .. what ever floats your boat ha ha ha, as long as the misses appreciates em,,, good stuff guys
What a perfect river camp spot. Amazing place.
Once again you both have done an amazing job. 👍👍
Amazing country and awesome Videography
Very good. Awesome 😎
Great video guys. Loving the content!
Awesome 👍 It would have been hard to fit 2 days footage in a 15 minute video . And it was good to see a damper cooked on a open fire and the bottom of it wasn't burnt .I seem to leave ours in to long or have too much heat. great job.
Spectacular scenery...I mean at 11.58 lol !
Awesome video guys, well Done.
Awesome video, happy days !!, cheers.
Loved it, thr missus is starting to watch the show as well. 🤙👍🍻
Lol shame about the Pentecost. Last time I had a look a few months back there was zero water. And other times before that it was a little sketchy (the track gets washed away and covered with those round rocks - some of which are pretty large). Also it's tidal and filled with crocodiles so not much change of getting out to suss out the holes.
Please do come back again after a good wet season - the road up to Kalumburu and Mitchell Falls should be good fun.
We would love to come back up and do Kalumburu and Mitchell Falls. Have heard the road up there can be pretty unforgiving. we'll do it in the troopy haha
wowie! you could have warned us!! haha 11:33!
hahahahah sorry, we will try to give you enough warning next time :)
Having done the gib before... and I assume your time or money maybe short... but you missed so much of this area and of course a bit more water would of helped
I was thinking the exact same thing!
Some great looking spots out that way! And now I feel like nachos haha 😅
Hey guys, what gorge would you say has the easiest walking track out of the ones on the gib for kids?
3L for the two of you to shower? That's one up from me using baby wipes as my shower.
great places, good views except for Matt in the Budgie Smugglers.
what's wrong with the budgies haha
@@OverlandTravellers i was eating dinner at the time, lol
Great footage guys. A bit of constructive criticism - for me personally the music detracts from the viewing experience. I prefer to hear nature, engine noise, footsteps etc.
Thanks for the feedback mate, you'll probably enjoy our new troopy series, not much music in them yet
Nice spot
Have camped there a couple of times
Shame about the murders in the 80s
it was a great spot, we would stay there again!
Bring on the budgies lol
Absolutely top stuff guys are you going to be in the creators stage at 4WD show this year in Sydney 🤙🤙🤙
