  • This week we wake up to a very peaceful morning on the Pentecost River. From here we drive the remainder of the Gibb River Road to Kununurra where we plan to stay for a few days to relax and clean up some of the dust.
We stay at the Kimberland Waterfront Caravan Park and it is definitely waterfront.
Our neighbour in the Caravan park Tim very kindly takes us for a boat ride along the water at sunset and it really opened our eyes as to why so many people visit Kununurra and never leave.
The next day we visit the famous Ivanhoe Crossing and send the ute across.

I loved the .. "Gondola tour " comment. Some people are really hospitable and others are quite inconsiderate when in caravan parks etc. Happy Birthday Holly. I loved the drone and crossing footage. It was flowing quite well.

Good old kununurra!! Grew up there and love the place. You could spend a month there and still not see all the good stuff.

I've got the mh10 for work. Extremely bright, lasts all day, and USB rechargeable.

Know the caravan park in Kununurra. It’s never great after bush camping, but from memory it was a pretty nice spot.

It wasn't too bad for a caravan park, pretty nice spot being on the river

I totally understand your reasons for not going to El Questro, but you certainly missed out, it is an awesome place with so much to see - maybe next time?

Kununurra is ok for touring abit. Just for a few days!
The town of Kununurra is not safe. A lot of looters, broken glasses on the roads, people throwing rocks on cars, drunk, shouting /screaming, loud music the whole night, etc etc. entitled people could be lawless!
If only, the local government have stricter rules and regulations in the Kimberley region, people will stay abit longer.

What's it like touring in the middle of summer?

There is no such thing as summer or winter
      It’s tropical
      Wet season
      Dry season

I couldn’t think of anything worse than camping at a caravan park. Why didn’t you go off grid?

    • @Dorko85
      @Dorko85 4 ปีที่แล้ว

@@GoldfieldsGoose Just lock your caravan up, the best spots are off grid and in 10+ years had zero issues.
