    Thanks for making this video! I just bought this bumper from an EBay vendor. This will help me a ton when installing it this week.

      Awesome! I’m so glad to hear it, I hope the install goes smoothly :) Little tip on securing the grill that I didn’t mention in the video
      : try using small twist-on wire connectors on the little pegs to hold the grill in. They’re removable and super secure!

    The sensor on the air duct is an outside temperature sensor .

    The impact strips are actually smooth on M3s until mid 1995 then became textured after... (at least that is the case for Euro M3, don't exactly know for US specs)

    • @logan-taylor
      @logan-taylor  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      that’s super interesting, I had no idea. Dory’s a 1998, so maybe i should get textured trim to be period correct

    Great series Logan! Stumbled on your channel while doing e30 restoration homework. If you ever need an extra hand , would love to share what I’ve learned. Restoring a 325i on the streets of the U district

    What mm screws you use to replace those trash plastic ones

    • @logan-taylor
      @logan-taylor  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      eek i wish i could remember.. i think they were around 5-6mm diameter if i had to guess? It’s most important to get ones with conical heads and washers that sit at the very top of the head so that they’re flat enough to sit behind the trim :) hope that makes sense

      On my e36, the Ambient air temp sensor is on the driver's side and the sensor on the passenger side is temp sensor for heated windshield washer nozzles.

    Does it come with all the trim??

    • @logan-taylor
      @logan-taylor  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      yep! Comes with all the impact stripping (main trim), front grill and little crush washer things to mount the grill. Also includes fog light brackets, as they’re slightly different from non-m bumpers.

  • @andrecosta7019
    @andrecosta7019 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    What about the grille?

    • @logan-taylor
      @logan-taylor  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Grille fits great, high quality molding, etc. but It comes with crimp washers to hold it in and they’re really bad quality. I would suggest replacing them with small screws or discreet zip ties. Otherwise, grill looks and fits great.

    • @ericdye5056
      @ericdye5056 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I cant get the grill to fit properly. It came with those washers but pins wont line up to get it mounted flush to inside of the bumper. Ugh

      if you’re willing to go through the whole paint/prep process and you don’t mind the non removable lip, i say yes. if you’re ok spending a bit more money for a turner motorsport/garage is tic/etc. one, then i think you should go that direction :)

    Those plastic clips come out by pushing the centre of them out with a small Allen key or screwdriver 🪛

    • @logan-taylor
      @logan-taylor  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      ^^ yes!!! I figured this out FAR too late and neglected to include it in the video. I’d still recommend replacing with metal fasteners if you’re in there, but they’re definitely salvageable if you’re smart about it (which, unfortunately, I was not).
