    Would it be possible to see if the tender has speaker holes underneath the frame? I just want to check and see if it does since I'm planning on buying a brass Williams Daylight GS-4 which used similar tooling.

    Did Ajin or Samhongsa make that model? They were two main Korean brass train makers.

      I actually don’t know that question but whoever it was, they did a bang up job of it and it’s to me my fav model!

      I believe it was Samhongsa that made the brass models for both Weaver and Williams trains during the late 80s through early 90's.

      @@WIPEOUT_Trains Ajin and Samhongsa are brass model train makers in Korea. They were contracted by Bob Weaver of Weaver models/Quality Craft, as well as Jerry Williams of Williams Trains to produce scale brass models of locomotives and rolling stock to their respective consumers. This was the age when scale high-rail layouts were being introduced for layout builders and hobbyists at the time.

      @@wordenentertainment1997 Thank you for the clarification! I don’t really know a lot of the brass o scale stuff out there so this was very nice to know!! I hope you enjoyed the video!

      @@wordenentertainment1997 Bill Benson of Right of Way Industries also contracted Ajin.

    Great video! I'm thinking about getting a Williams brass SP Daylight GS-4. Would it be possible if you could make another video of this model with the bell and whistle activated? Considering that locomotive is equipped with the QSI sound system, the bell should be activated with the throttle set to 5 volts or below and activate the whistle button. The do the same to activate the whistle, but set the throttle to above 5 volts, but not all the way, which will activate the coupler and air brake release.

      The problem with brass trains is they are expensive and they made them in very small production numbers Nikolas.

    • @wordenentertainment1997
      @wordenentertainment1997 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@huntercoleman460 Yeah. The reason for that is the tooling for short run stamping dies for brass were used to produce these models cost 1/10th the price for a diecast model. Williams and Weaver knew this and felt it was a better investment considering the market for 3-rail scale trains was small and most people couldn't afford them. However they are coming down in prices these days and are a good bargain for those like me who would like to get into hi-rail scale models, but on a limited budget. Plus these Williams and Weaver locomotives have QSI's reversing units which can easily have the Sound of Power/Proto Sound system that QSI developed. If I buy a Williams brass GS-4 and the sound system QSI made for it, I'll do a video explaining it and how to install it.

      @@wordenentertainment1997 I would like to get my hands on a Right of Way engine someday Nikolas. I think they’re trains have the best sounds than other O gauge brand trains.

    can this model only run on a setup like this one? or can it be ran with a wireless controller like lionel legacy or something?
    just curious before i buy any weaver models

    • @WIPEOUT_Trains

      Hi @dolphingamer6318 i'm sorry for the late reply, I would say Yes it can run on a wireless controller. it has Protosound 1 inside basically. however for me, none of my new controllers work with the electronics inside of that beast.
      Id recommend any and all Weaver products from hearing form buddies and the overall community!
