    Sakura Spring, we stayed here for three nights and although I was really hesitant about doing this, I was sleeping like a baby by the second night! The first night was the hardest for me.

    That's amazing. I knew capsule hotels were cheap, but I didn't imagine something less than $30 USD a night!

    this video is great. i've been having mix feelings about capsule hotels but now i have an idea on how they look, and i know that it is safe. it's definitely a great way to spend just a night just in case commuting back to tokyo would be a hassle at night.

    • @TabiEats
      @TabiEats  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +spongebracket You know, I personally did this for the sake of trying as I was apprehensive about staying in one for the longest time. I'm so glad I did it because I actually loved it! You really can't beat the price and it was quite comfortable!

    Guys, you always produce great videos, but this is the most fascinating one yet! This is the best look I've had at a capsule hotel. I'm extremely claustrophobic, so I think I would die in this place. I was amazed at the amenities though. The hotel has everything! It's just a bit too compact for me. Thanks so much for your efforts in capturing the great clips of the hotel. Ms. Lulu Cheeks is here with me and she was enthralled by this as well!

    • @TabiEats
      @TabiEats  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Juanelo1946 You know, I was afraid of the enclosed space, which is why this was my very first time staying at one ever in my life! Strangely enough, I was totally fine with it and we stayed there for 3 nights. I slept like a baby! Give Ms Lulu Cheeks a huge hug from the both of us!

    Wow what an experience! Thanks for sharing this guys, very brave of you! At less than $20 a night, it sure is a steal. Have always wondered what the rest of the accommodation is like, ie the common area, and this was very thorough! :)

      @TabiEats  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Tamara Atum I think once you get used to it, it's better. The first night was actually the hardest to sleep. Second and third nights, I slept like a baby.

  • @MikeTheBarber63
    @MikeTheBarber63 9 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    I couldn't sleep on the 2nd floor. I know as soon as I laid down to sleep I would have to pee. I'd wear myself out getting in and out of that little box, but it is cheap!

    • @TabiEats
      @TabiEats  9 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      +MikeTheBarber63 haha! Yes it's super cheap. The first night I was on the first floor because I didn't want to climb up and down, but the first floor was actually harder to sleep for me because of all the footsteps of people coming and going. The second floor was so much quieter.

    Those hotels are really nice and clean,for economy they cant be beat by the old,smelly cheap motels we have here in the USA...my only problem would be be closed in a small space for the bed.

    • @TabiEats
      @TabiEats  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +marie elena I thought the enclosed space would really bother me at first, but strangely enough, I was ok and quite comfortable. The only thing for me is that I wish it was just a little bit longer as my feet was touching the curtains all night.

    this is really neat, only the Japanese can use a tiny room and make every inch of it efficient! But, I would never be able to sleep there, as I would feel claustrophobic. Where's the toilets? Did you feel claustrophobic? $20 a night is so reasonable though, so much better alternative than a hotel or motel for sure, if I didn't have money I'd probably go there to stay.

    • @TabiEats

    Shinichi, nice review of capsule hotel, may be staying there for 1 or 2 nights. Is it warm during winter time in January? I heard guests have to leave the hotel before 9 or 10 am for cleaning, is it correct?

    • @TabiEats
      @TabiEats  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +babosing January is one of the coldest months in Japan. However it should be nice and warm in capsule hotels. It is true that you have to check out everyday at 10 am for cleaning even if you have reservations for multiple nights. We stayed 3 nights but we checked out everyday. But it worked out ok for us because we usually spent the entire day outside.

    • @babosing
      @babosing 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      TabiEats Do we have to take out our luggage and other belonging too or they offer storage?

    • @TabiEats
      @TabiEats  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      babosing actually they let you leave it by the front desk as long as you have reservations for another day. I'm really not sure if this pertains to all capsule hotels, but this one was like that.

    わぁ〜、カプセルホテルに泊まることなんて絶対にないからとてもおもしろかったです!
    シャワーとか洗面台とか共同なんですね。ホントに寝るだけの為のホテルって感じですね。
    他の人のイビキとか聞こえてきて気になったりはしないんですか?耳栓とか必須なのかなー?

    • @TabiEats
      @TabiEats  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +キャリーブラッドショウ さん、初日は、実は緊張してあまり眠れなかったんです。いびきと足音、他人が鞄や荷物をいじる音。特にコンビニの袋のカサカサという音が早朝には気になって。でも二日目にもなると、他人のいびきも気にならなくなって、ぐーすか寝てました。ホント、寝るだけですよ。寝る以外の事は、チェックインする前に全て済ませた方がよいですね。でも最近は、食堂がそれなりで、お風呂が綺麗なカプセルホテルとかもあったりして、それなりに楽しめるらしいです。

    awesome! i am a single guy and $20/night would be awesome...i could make more use of my money to eat more expensive food. i just want a place to crash....it looks clean from your video. that is very important to me. before i take a shower at any hotel...even 5 star hotels...i will rinse the shower or tub floor with really hot water before i step in.

    • @TabiEats
      @TabiEats  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Inquisitve m This place was very clean and each capsule is completely cleaned with disinfectant and then new sheets and pillows are put in, which is why you have to check out by 10 am every day. I notice that cleaners come to clean the shower rooms every few hours.
