That Aug I believe looks like the specialized Aug A3 Para which is supposed to be a 9mm conversion, I've seen pictures of it and the only difference is the look of the mag. Great review as always. To answer your question on the Real Steel variant it would probably be an AUG A3. The A1 has the integrated scope and the A2 just has the top rail instead of the scope. hope that helps :)
Hi Jai The TM Aug HS is based on the real steel Aug A3 XS which has a 9mm magazine conversion (which would suck on the HS, which is why TM stuck with the regular mags)
You're welcome. This may not relate to you but when I changed the hop up unit to a TM I had a FPS drop. Once I replaced the air nozzle with an o ring version the FPS went back up to the original fps. JG might have a funky air nozzle that meshes well with their own hop up and not as well with the TM unit. But I also had leaking compression between the air nozzle and cylinder head that I know the new nozzle fixed as well.

The batteries it takes are 3 x AAA re-chargeable. You can re-charge it via USB connection. The BB's are an extra £2 or $2 per bottle! Totally worth it!
Actually, it wouldn't. TM have gotten all fancy, so no matter what type of battery you put it, it actually slows the motor down and the ROF remains the same. Pretty clever stuff...
One more in the AUH HC club, eh? Welcome! Just a tip, make sure the back plate for the gearbox compartment is in place. You might have to add a very thin spacer if it gets slightly bent, otherwise the AUG will misfeed.
This kinda of ROF is considered moderate, and is actually getting quite common in stock AEG's. Several brands will rival the ROF of TM high cycle AEG's, at a higher power, while still having good reliability. These are actually quite slow compared to most custom tuned AEG's, I consider anything below 30rps to be low speed really.
The sad part about this is, it's a great gun but in america(florida) we have a group of pricks don't like to call it. what spring would you recomend slaping in it to give it a little more kick and would a stronger spring effect the other parts. sorry for the questions I'm a GBBR user and this gun is definently a soon to purchase item.

With the motor it has it doesnt make much difference. It shoots 28 or something on an 8.4v. The motor is adjusted so all batteries will have a similar outcome.

im NOT trying to be the pro guy around here, but, as i know, TM guns are extremely high quality, so why fry the trigger switch and shred the internals??? my custom m4 has ECHO1 standard 18:1 steel gears and its equipped with an 11.1v 2200mah 30C lipo battery... fires around 30 rps with around 350fps, and after 4000 rounds fired, i re-opened the gearbox to check for any kind of internal damages, and everything looked brand new...

Although the real Aug is ambidextrous. I know someone in the Irish Army (which use the Aug) and he says they are a pain to switch over the ejector and that you have to have a special kit of parts etc. so they have special way for lefties to fire them , ... fire them right handed ! :P , nice video. well done . love it !!

Evike.com is suppose to get some more in this month. No idea how they stack up against TM ones but they are priced about the same so hopefully they have similar performance.

We tried many but the best result we got and the battery I recommend is a 7.4v 1300mAh 20c LiPo. The mAh obviously doesn't matter but there isn't much room in the stock for a battery so this size was ideal! :-)

If only it wasn't so expensive, if it were around $250 I'd buy it and do a few upgrades. For instance put and m110 spring in it as well a a tight bore barrel.

Hey guys, I was wondering if you had a look at it's internals, even with UK law limiting 370fps ! Do you see any parts that are not standard V3 or V2 ? or have you heard about anyone taking it to around 400 FPS. From what i read on the net, it seems to have a shortstroked Piston and a few other customs can you confirm ? Regards

I want something with versatility between CQB and Skirmishes the Scar has the foldable stock and higher FPS but the AUG is lighter so slightly more manoeuvrable. Please Help!!!!!
I have had mine for two years and haven't replaced anything. My hop up has no problems but I was wondering where I could find replacement parts for the hop up. Can someone give me a link. It is a wonderful gun and I want to keep it running.
what kinda range do u get on this? is it on par with a normal aeg or is it only worth buying for indoor type games....I play at a forest site every few weeks and be nice to be able to use this there aswell as the urban site

I think it also has a 40.sw conv as well and the A3 para has a shortened handguard and barrel

Yes, you can. I've personally done it. The design is exactly the same but as we all know the TM hop up is a better quality.
You guys do your shooting tests indoors to eliminate the wind element, but you have a fan running right towards the stream of bbs..
The only flaw with this great video is the intro. How can a rifle eject casings when the dust cover is covering the ejection port? 0:10 editing bodge.

the bottom rail is a tactical rail its for flashlights and lasers because the real AUG comes with a built in vertical grip

Most of our team run high-cycles for CQB and field. None of them have caused any problems in almost a year! :-)

I forgot to ask does it feed with MAG midcaps? Cause highcaps are not allowed on my airsoft site.
with any aug, switching out the connectors are a huge plus, it is in any airsoftgun, but deans gives you alot better battery space :D
literally the reason why i bought my aug hc was because of this video. the marshalls seem to want to use it more than me at my site haha

No, if you put a high enough voltage on it... you'll just burn the wiring. Recommended 7.4v LiPo or 8.4v NiHm! :-)
